I think because MTR was started as South Indian Food Brand so they are better in those dishes and not in North Indian Food. Whereas Hocco is a North Indian Brand so they know North Indian Taste better. Reason u didn't like mtr is beacuse mtr is besically south canra company all the dishes will be slightly sweet, hocco is north indian company so it will be spicy , Mangalore-udupi region all the dishes will be slight sweet ❤

hocco is old havmor brand of ice cream Havmor icecream brand was sold before 5 years to "lotte" a south korean brand. Havmor eatery changed their name to hocco means " House of Chonas Collaborative" which is famous for it's chana puri in gujarat. It's Eatery chain are called hocco eatery and fine dine chains are called 1944 The Hocco Kitchen. MTR basically south (bengaluru) based brand so there might be chance that you will not get authentic north indian taste but idli, upma and other south indian prepartion you will get good taste. There might be chance that MTR using coconut oil in ready to eat food preparation therefore you find it sweet.
