here is the part form the rules I was referring to a few minutes ago: ... the player taking the stroke must stand behind and within playing distance of the ball before beginning the stroke

I thought that the rules regarding the penalty stroke included that you were not allowed to stand in front of the ball with either foot which Lawrence seems to be doing as it potentially allows a drag flick. Also, you can't take a run up like one of the girls did, it is meant to be a one step process. I maybe not up to date with the rules so will stand corrected from others more knowledgeable.

before a penalty stroke i kinda hype myself up by jumping and stuff and hit the bar right before im standing ready. Maybe it helped as intimidation/destraction, because the ones i did get I all managed to keep out in the last 2 years ^^

Enjoying yr vids even though im not a hockey player 😎 Quick Q. Why do GKs hold d stick in right hand n d glove in left always? I've never fd d opposite. If a GK is left handed primarily wldnt d opposite help? Or is it that u become ambidextrous so it doesn't matter?😳 Really curious. Thanks 👍🏒

Good question! I think because the forehand of a stick is always on the right side.

Also please keep in mind to stay within arm + stick length away from the ball and make it one swift movement. Also as a goalie be careful not to intimidate the player / hit the bars too much. It doesn't go down too well...

Goeie vraag! Probeer altijd weg te versnellen uit de druk, anders blijven de verdedigers er altijd bij. Als je een versnellende actie maakt heb je met die ene seconde extra waarin je weg kan lopen of pasen! 😁 Tomas
