Cool league, i love making some of my own. I made a custom league but i made a rule that they can't belong to a state that is represented in the NHL, AHL or ECHL. Crazy ones like Hawaii but also Alaska, Louisiana, New Mexico etc.

Just an FYI whenever you may start up a new custom franchise. You CAN change the AHL teams. When you’re in the division screen to set divisions switch to the AHL side and you can use R1 (PS4) to swap AHL teams. You can do full NHL/AHL custom league teams if you wish Also a good tip for smaller leagues is turning the quality of generated prospects down to LOW But awesome league!! Hope these tips help

I did something similar to this in 23 with 20 teams but I didn't remove the star players so most of the teams were stacked. I used a random generator to figure out who is gonna be on which team and also used that to figure out the team names and colors.

I'm actually not 100% sure, on the national teams. The only thing that I can think, is maybe you could do that. But you would need to then start a Franchise mode, and replace all the teams in the NHL with the teams in, say, DEL. And if there are less than 32 teams in the DEL, you would have to make a Custom League, and change the number of teams. And yes, the teams rosters would follow. But you would have to still compete for the Stanley Cup and what not.

@@jeanlucapellizotti4898 when you create a team, it gets put into its own category. "Created Teams". Unfortunately, I don't think you can simply add your team to a specific league. It has to be substituted through Franchise Mode, with an NHL team. As for Created Players. You would have to take your created player, and put him on your roster, when the game forces you to create a roster for your created team, or teams. Then afterwards, go into Player Movement, and he or they will still be technically Free Agents. So when you start your Franchise Mode, it will duplicate them. So then you have to bury them. Either in Europe, or on an NHL team that you are going to substitute with a created team.
