Except that wasn't a pass attempt until Brady threw it to the endzone, as laterals are effectively running plays. So Brady is 3 of 6 on pass catch attempts, with the last one being Brady to Brady for -9 yards, then a penalty for throwing a second forward pass in the same play. But the Rams declined the penalty as it would be 4th and 2 instead of 3rd and 24. So Brady got to throw a 17 yard pass after catching the -9 yard pass.
