Jacob, you need to go to Boston and visit the Graveyard where Paul Revere and other famous Revolutionaries are buried, it's awesome. You can walk the Freedom Trail and see it all, including The Old North Church where Paul Revere hung his lanterns that night when the British invaded, One if by Land, Two if by Sea......

One thing about cemetaries is how seeing all the stones and the lives they represent gives you some perspective on your priorities. Life is short so make the most of every day. If you look at the dates on the stones it's sad how many kids are there. Probably from flu and other diseases before modern healthcare and vaccinations.

I moved a lot as a kid and the first place I'd go in the new town was the cemetery. I didn't know for a long time that there were others like me who loved these places. Then I lost my Mom and Dad. Cemeteries weren't as much fun anymore. Thank you both for the video.

If you ever come back through Kentucky, there are 2 cemeteries that are amazing. One is in Mount Sterling. Some of the older stones there are hand carved and are some of the most unique (and beautiful!) I have ever seen. The other one is Lexington Cemetery in the city of Lexington. Lots of flowers, trees, and there are several unique stones, including a beautiful statue of Jesus toward the back of the property.

Mount Sterling KY cemetery is amazing! Some of the tombstones are from the 1700’s. I was married at the Lexington cemetery by the pond near the back it’s beautiful.

We used to do tombstone rubbings in the old Boston cemeteries. I had some amazing rubs. Momento mori is Latin for "Remember you must die".

I love the old gravestones that have pictures of the deceased, usually of a child. So fascinating! The best cemetery I've been to was the above ground cemetery in New Orleans.

The roses & things on benches are offerings of remembrance and such! I'm enjoying this series despite living near here hahaha. It's interesting to see an exploration video on turf I know from a "tourist" view point!

Beautiful spot. Cool t-shirt, Anna! Lots of legends surround skull & crossbone stones, from marking plague victim graves to freemasons (or their Knights Templar predecessors). Delving into this subject, however, uncovered the likelihood of it serving as memento mori, simply reminding us of our universally shared mortality. I love the ouroboros on the last marker, wrapping the skull in eternity & it's endless life/death cycle. Those lil' guys on the bottom look like bats! I've never seen so many symbols on one marker before, at least not so artfully depicted.
