The whole virgin thing comes from a misunderstanding of "Virgin Blood" needed for ceremonies or spells. "Virgin Blood" means blood that hasn't been used in a ritual or spell before, not blood from a virgin.
@tyroneloki51313 жыл бұрын
some do, specially aztec uses literal virgins....signifying purity. Even gypsies also uses "virgin blood" from virgins, again, also because of the whole purity thing, which makes the spell more powerful
@Whimsy36923 жыл бұрын
Huh. Interesting. I guess I'd do both just to be safe, too. No wonder every witch then used literal virgin blood.
@Kori-T3 жыл бұрын
that’s good to know 😬
@tj_27013 жыл бұрын
Virgin doesn't even mean what we use it for now lol It's almost the opposite of how we use it now. It has to do with not being married and being a priestess, nothing to do with sex that is a fairly newish concept.
@tyroneloki51313 жыл бұрын
@@tj_2701 nah am pretty sure virgin back then still meant the same (never had sex)... or i maybe wrong, show me a literature that says otherwise

From what I’ve been able to find, there is a book that they’re going off of: Hocus Pocus and the All-New Sequel (yes, it’s actually called that). Basically, so Max and Allison have a daughter named Poppy. She grew up hearing the family story and events of the first film and parents who avoid Halloween as much as possible. Poppy is skeptical of the tale and ends up in the Sanderson house on Halloween, twenty-five years to the day after the movie, in an attempt to prove there's nothing to the story. And you can guess what happens there.

5:38 I think she's been spelled into not being able to move even if she wants to. There's a couple of deleted scenes - well planned scenes that they never filmed and scenes we see in the trailer but can't find anywhere else - where we find out that the reason why some children are affected by Sarah's singing but not others is because they make these sweets in the shape of crows and something in them gets triggered when Sarah starts singing so the children who ate them followed her. There's a planned sketch of THackery finding one of them underneath Emily's pillow, and we see scenes in the trailer of the sisters in the supermarket buying the ingredients and handing them out to kids

Earth, water, air, fire, metal, heart/soul..?
@Leon-wz1js3 жыл бұрын
@@steffurness Well, as elements, those are key, but in witchcraft, they have to be controllable. If you were an airbender, you could control air, but if not then you need to control air (say, inside a balloon) to then put it with it's polar opposite. Metal, by itself is not an element, it's a type of element. Cast iron is pure metal. Instead of "heart," then "love," and true love is a powerful arcana However, oddly enough, if you could make someone love you, then you have a different power. Instead of soul, think sacrifice and thereby you have a major arcana again.
