Maaaan!!! I feel bad I’m a step behind in the world this week! Thanks for the shout out Zane!!!! Im sorry I just now saw, this week in the real world, it had been very hectic unfortunately and I haven’t had much time. But nothing better than on a Friday night to get caught back up and see a new episode from you. I appreciate all your support genuinely! Now on the bumper, we don’t see too many like that down here, it has a very cool look, has a vintage/outback type look going for it which I dig. Your welds look better than most of mine..great work, keep on keeping on sir!

Way to go Zane. It’s a true gift to find a something that was made for a completely different vehicle and having the foresight to see the potential of what it could be used for. Looks awesome. Anytime you can get more utility from your truck is a big win in my book. (Those welds look fantastic btw!) After seeing all that fabrication of yours I’m just chomping at the bit to start a project of my own one of these days. Bumper coming along nicely. You did excellent job making it fit in with the front of the truck. I don't think I would hang a light bar under the bumper. Maybe a narrower one on one of the horizontal tubes between the main uprights. You, J.C. Well I always like to see your notifications arrive telling me there is a new video. I think you have arrived as a KZbin creator. You added a short bit of acid rock as background music. There were grinding, welding, and background wind in the video. That shows it’s real. It’s a shame the plastic top on the stock bumper doesn’t adapt to the new bumper. It looks vm like it would fit. That would be smooth. lol I think the bars are stout enough for a deer. From the banks of Underwood Branch, thanks for the fun.

love those knipex tools zane. when i start noticing more dross when using a plasma cutter, i change out the consumables. would be nice to make those round bars that protect the headlights match the contour of the hood and fenders. you might be surprised how much extra strength you could get from adding a brace from bottom of the winch mount to that truck's crossmember. welds are looking good ole friend. i think the smooth filler will look nicer as well.

Nice work 👌 When you are making bracket, connection between plate that goes on frame, and plate on bumper is better when frame plate goes through bumper plate. Then you can weld from both sides, and don't share bottom welds when using winch. Reinforcement triangle should go behind bumper plate to pull that's plate to frame plate and welds are only to support. That way you can use thiner metal for same strength. Use blow torch or some gas burner to heat bracket welds area to high temperature (red color) and leave too cool down on air. That way you will release internal stress from welds.

Strong work!!!!!! Great job making a different manufacturer bumper fit your truck, done very cleanly. Thanks for the channel shout out, as for the cursing thats my bad hahaha, whitetrash cad (cardboard assisted design) is a crucial part of bumper designing. Mint job, Legend.👍🏻 The video does a good job showing the work that goes into modified bumpers. Out of curiosity, could it do with another tube, the diameter of the headlight protector tube, inline vertically where the headlight and grill meet?. Or the other option would be bring the horizontal headlight protector tube down to the top of the headlight. If I've explained it clearly. I'm looking forward to part 2.

Worked out pretty slick fer you,as for the grill i think its just fine gives a mean look.i too put a homemade steel bumper on my 2002 wj jeep it wasnt made by me,felt they overdid it with heavy steel on main bumper part was c channel needs some speed holes to lighten up.i ran it for a year but eventaully put my plastic back on.why u ask, well that heavy ass steel bumper was wearing out my ball joints and tires.maybe if i lighten up i might go back.till then i think looks cleaner with plastic.snookie pa.😊😊😊😊

I think the bumper looks fine. Once you get it painted and the filler pieces in and will hide the stuff you can't stand. That bumper will probably outlast the truck, and will be adapted to the next one 25 years from now.....LOL! Like my dad had a friend that had a hammer he had his whole life...he replaced the handle 7 times and the head twice. I love the widowmaker drill. I have my dad's Black and Decker that weighs around 20 pounds. I just moved it yesterday and noticed the cord was getting pretty bad with dry rot especially up where it enters the handle. You wouldn't know anything about that would you? That's another example of same drill and at least four cords now. Dad wanted to put a trailer hitch on the back of his car back in the early 70s. The car was on a concrete carport and I was on an old wooden creeper. I was braced for impact as I had used that drill before. As you can imagine when that thing caught I went around crashing into every part of that car that hung down and some that didn't. I was a mess of cuts, bruises and general ill will, but got the holes through the bottom of the bumper. Dad thought the whole ride was hilarious and at the time I wasn't of the same opinion. The while stupid move in the equation was being on that creeper. What a knuckle head! I'm 65 now and that drill is wall art. Man do I miss my dad. My life is slowly getting back to normal....as if it ever was. A 6 year legal battle, money woes, my wife of 43 years passing and on top of it all having to have my gall bladder out. I'm severely out of shape but have taken your advice and found a project. It's a junkyard mess of a car hauler trailer that should have stayed put but it came home with me. A lot of my tools have two to three years of dust on them along with myself. I need it to haul some junk on so here I go! Thanks for the nice video. It fits in nicely and the shout out for your friend proves you are truly a class act indeed. Sorry for the long post but that drill made me laugh..... Cheers Terry

Not to mention the bumps and bruises! I need to get back into shape as well. I let myself go last year and I feel miserable now. Starting to lose the pounds but it's difficult.
