Great to see this on youtube. Cut at the old Mystic studios in Hollywood, rhythm tracks. Mickey Stevenson doing the main producing. I did bass (James Wesly "Jimmy" Smith). But I seem to recall another Motown veteran co-producing, Vernon Bullock???(think these are the tracks).On the session, seem to recall one of the singing group had family troubles? Hey James Wesly Smith i believe you played on this album if you say so but im holding the album in my hand and they did not credit you bro. The credits says bass played by Wayne Douglas and Wilton Felton. And since it says Joe Sample on keyboards it sounds like they were backed by half of the Crusaders. Motown legend Mickey Stevenson did produce it but Vernon Bullock name is also nowhere to be found on the album. And the album says it was recorded in Paramount Studios not Mystic Studios.

(Lead Jessica Smith wanted to do the session regardless of the drama). Cut it at Old Mystic Studios in Hollywood, one drummer left. Prod. Mickey Stevenson (formerly a&r director at Detroit Motown--where I met him-- called another--whole new groove!). The best track of the session never released "Feel The Need In Me."
