I was 5 years old when this song dropped and I still remember riding down the highway with my dad(R.I.P) twice a month to go see my mother in med school. The song would come on 3 or 4 times during the trip and to make my dad laugh I would starting bobbing my head really hard and waving hands around...and for whatever reason he would get a real kick out of seeing me do that when the song came on! Memories like that are etched in my mind! My whole reason for sharing that is that this song literally made a impact on my life and is directly attached to fun memories with my dad. Funny thing is that I was so young at the time I never knew who made the song...knew the words and the melody just never the artist. Fast forward some 30 plus years later I finally found Mr. Bernard Wright and now its a song I listen to weekly without fail! Thank you Mr. Wright you definitely left a mark in this world...and guess what???... I'm now playing this same song for my 2 sons(8 & 13) Amazing how music becomes a part of you. R.I.P Bernard Wright you changed this guys life sincerely!

For those who lived it, back in the days God bless you, we had it all, there's still time for those to listen to it, and get the groove, unfortunately the best was to live it, in our time we had it all, dancing in clubs, house parties,Great Times etc.! May 20, 2022) In 1983, R&B radio was jamming to an earworm of a song by a rising young keyboardist with a flair for the groove. The song was “Who Do You Love” and the artist was 19 year old Bernard Wright. We are sad to inform SoulTrackers of the passing of Mr. Wright at age 58, reportedly in a tragic traffic accident in Dallas. Noted bandleader Billy "Spaceman" Patterson posted on social media today: On behalf of the family of Bernard Wright (Nard), We are saddened to announce that yesterday Bernard has been called home to the Most High. Many thanks for everyone's support, encouragement, and prayers for Nard throughout the years. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. Our hearts are heavy and our faith is strong. To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord! LOVE! Rest In Power, Nard. Wright was born in the Jamaica section of Queens, NYC, and was a child prodigy, playing with both Jamaica artist Tom Browne and Lenny White when he was a mid-teen. RIP🥺🥺🥺😥🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 MAY LORD GIVE THE FAMILY STRENGTH IN THIS TIME.😓😓😓😓😓😓😓🙏🏾

Bernard Wright was born in the Jamaica section of, and was a child prodigy, playing with both Jamaica artist Tom Browne and Lenny White when he was a mid-teen. At 17, Wright signed with GRP Records and he soon released ‘Nard, a smash on the Jazz charts and an introduction of Wright’s funky jazz sounds to the R&B world. Not many people know he was the only son of legendary singer Roberta Flack Dies at 58 on May 20-2022.
