@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Oh no worries. I did and continue to follow up. I’ve had PFTs, EKGs, routine CBCs with diff, and get routine follow ups. Everything looks pretty normal and I’m healthy. But I never really received a solid answer to why I have this pain. I’m thinking perhaps residual effects of ABVD more specifically Bleomycin maybe Pulmonary fibrosis. Who knows. I’m just searching for peer reviewed studies and patient testimonials about late effects of chemo because this inquiring mind wants to know. Any who, thanks for advising me to see a doctor. 👍🏽

I was on 2 immunosuppressants for autoimmune disease and the medications suppressed my immune system so heavily that my body was struggling to fight the virus. I went into liver failure, I had blood clots, and I was having heart complications. I have fully recovered after getting off all the immunosuppressants. Other than swollen lymph nodes that have not gone down since I was sick last year. I know my chances of ebv related cancer are high… it’s hard thing to digest

6:05 "never use a fine needle aspiration" why though? is there a specific reason?
@MedicosisPerfectionalis6 жыл бұрын
Great question...The sample of lymph node tissue that you get from the fine needle aspiration is not sufficient to make a diagnosis of lymphoma, we need a bigger tissue sample, especially in the lymph node, because it's hard to know where is the exact location of the lymphoma in the lymph node, and the FNA can miss it (except very late in the disease when the whole structure/ architecture of the lymph node has been destroyed by lymphoma) ...This is different from breast cancer, where you can palpate the mass and stick the needle at the mass precisely. Hope it helps!

All the lymph nodes in my body are swollen. And have been for the past 3 years. I've had loads of doctor check ups and have been told that it's just my body and the way it is blah blah blah. I've had blood tests and they've come back okay. But I'm still just worried. I sometimes get a weird discomfort in my left side just above my spleen and it lasted for about 4 weeks. Then went. Then 6 months later. Came back again for another 3-4 weeks then went. Other than that I've not had any symptoms and are a healthy teen. But it just worries me. All the nodes are soft and Moveabke. Ranging in size with the biggest being abkur 2cm. Does anyone else have the same problem ?
