Gems solo on Slide Away is terrific. I love the story Noel tells about every time he shows up at Gem's house his little boy bursts out crying. He cries because he knows Noel is going to take his dad away on tour.

Spot on my friend. All the more true after Noel had him back on tour with him as soon as he could get Gem back he literally went after him as Noel knows he can rely on Gem who’s a fabulous musician in his own right. Plays rhythm guitar lead guitar acoustic & piano and even heard he can turn his hands to drums if needed in the studio. He can write produce & can also stand side by side with Noel on the same wavelength & Noel loves Gems work ethic. ✌️👍✌️

Without Noel writing every lyric and the music for Oasis Liam would still be singing an adapted version of I Am the Walrus. Noel’s Genius would have come out one way or the other but one needs something to SWAGGER to…and Noel’s BRILLIANT song writing was the key.

What I love about Noel’s songs from Oasis is that he can switch from rock or acoustic and produce two completely different versions of the same song. I have to say I much prefer him acoustically

Both brothers produced great music this year, especially proud to see Liam back to his best doing amazing and absolutely deserves the praises his getting while Noel doing what he knows best. Were, past tense, is the operative word. That musical partnership is long dead, and I’d be amazed if they ever step onto the same stage again. Not sure it’s wrong, either. Reforming Oasis is a bad idea, as I’m not alone in missing the 90s and the 1990s Oasis in their pomp. Do we want elderly rocker’s pretending to be in their 20s? I don’t.
