Yoooo..that was BEAUTIFUL. Noel once said that Liam was a great singer and that he never sang the songs the way Noel intended them to be sung. He said something like "I wrote the songs so I know what I was feeling but he'll come in take 10 minutes read the lyrics and sing it in his own way. He never once asked me what was I thinking or feeling when I wrote. He would just sing it in his way-- which as you can see worked out well" I look at this as Noel making Wonderwall his own and not approaching it from Liams perspective which is the perspective we all know and love. This was SUPER DOPE AMAZING! The strings and backing singers?! BEAUTIFUL

Noel is not a human being tho, he's one of god's avatars and choirs/violins sound like his angels. The grown man i am could almost cry when i'm listening to this. I've had a few gins and something's welling in my eyes. Must be dust in the room. The sombre look on Noel's face at the end, listening to the string quartet and the choir's arrangement of his song, must have hit him as the zenith of what he wanted all these years ago. He probably wrote 'Whatever' after work at home, since he worked for the gas board before Oasis got signed. I know he's had big crowds sing his songs back throughout the 90s, but this is a nice musical moment, musical beyond guitar music of the group. He and Oasis can't compete with the musical impact of the 60s, but here's his contribution to his country's music.

Even if you change the keys ("Smells like..." is on C# and Wonderwall is on G, i guess), they don't... Get along, if you know what i mean.
