That is correct. No KYC for both Bisq and HodlHodl. But if you are paying with e-transfer or selling with e-transfer, I strongly suggest you do KYC or some sort of verification. Ben learned the hard way when he sold some bitcoin to someone on HodlHodl without doing KYC. And he got fcked over. I got fcuked over too and I had to fight it out for almost 2 years.

I have never used this service but what happens if the person you sent the money to never released the BTC? How does one get the money back?

interac etransfer is NOT "no KYC" so you merely shifted your KYC requirements from being on an exchange to them being on the interac system. That accomplishes nothing. But I think I know why you chose that method. Actual in-person offers (e.g., TRUE no KYC) are few and far between.

I am the trader featured in the video. Yes, most of the time the seller will have your name when receiving your e-transfer. But individual traders are not likely to report that to anyone. Mind you, with fiat on the internet, you simply can not buy or sell anything anonymously. You would have to use cash in hand for that. Personally, I would never share the information of the people I trade with on HodlHodl. But both your bank and mine will have a record of you sending me money. They just won't know what it's for. Since I am a bitcoin trader, it's probably pretty easy for anyone looking at your transactions to find out your are buying Bitcoin. But at least you have some plausible deniability. And unlike coin you buy on Kraken or Coinbase, Trudeau simply would not be able to blacklist the coins I sell and the coins others buy from me.

@@bluemorpho7778 I'm not familiar with Amazon gift cards as a payment method. I do know HodlHodl will accept them as payment method, but I'm not sure how that's done. Since I would be forced to spend the money on Amazon, I would sell at a premium. And I think there are some scam problems with Amazon gift cards, but I'm not sure about the details. I think some cards are stolen or fraudulent. And when the seller tries to use them, he gets to be blamed for the fraud or theft.

Let me answer that as I am a trader on HodlHodl. For example if you sell bitcoin with Paypal, the buyer has 45 days to reverse the payment and claim he was scammed. But with me, I accept e-transfer as a payment method. But a lot of frauds buy bitcoin with fraudulent e-transfers on HodlHodl. When they do that, I still get the money. But after that, banks blame it on me and they block me from sending and receiving e-transfers. I spent a year trying to clear my name. And I know one trader who is facing fraud charges when he didn't do anything wrong.

If you use fiat you need to be careful how you use the fiat

Basically, if you trade between two Cryptos, paying for one crypto with an other, you are safe. But fiat payments are full of frauds. Just be careful when buying or selling with fiat.

I am confused about one thing let's say you are a minor that wants to get a higher rate of return for your Bitcoin. That's 7% premium is quite attractive. However I imagine that a lot of the people who are buying the non-kyc Bitcoin are trying to wash dirty money for example money from the proceeds of drug selling. Could you find yourself guilty of money laundering as a result of selling your Bitcoin to an unknown person in exchange for dollars in other words do you have a responsibility for knowing how that person received their dollars?

That's like if you had a Garage sale you need to vet everybody that buys something off you to make sure they're not drugs funds.

@@FooshMan I agree as long as the amounts are small. Lets say you are buying 10k or so of Bitcoin. Eveny a cash transaction of $10k or above deposited at your bank raises eyebrows. Course you don't have to deposit at the bank, You can keep it at your new and improved personal bank, your Bitcoin wallet.

Bitcoin is the best inflation hedge that exists: Less than 4% of the entire global population are invested into Crypto. We are early , More emphasis should be put into trading since it is way profitable than hodling. Expert Kennedy Williams also has been doing an excellent job evaluating all charts, trades on BTC, which has helped my portfolio grow to 11.6 BTC.

hodlhodl is not very mobile friendly, android chrome and firefox. haven't checked ios I will later, but I might not come back to comment. Line brakes or something mess up addresses. info shows and disappears.

I am the trader featured in this video. I found that Brave works best for both Android and Windows for HodlHodl. But you have to keep refreshing to get an updated trade. Trust me on this, I have to automate my browser for this site. So Brave definitely is the go to browser for them. And I am learning to really like Brave too. Lots of privacy features and controls.
