I really like your vids. Keep up man 👍 Just wondering. Why didn’t you played the Hody in the first match up against by Luffy? You could have tapped the 2 blocker Sabos, take the risk and attacked with doffy and two hodys for the win.

thanks! because it wasn’t guaranteed game and the luffy deck ALWAYS has all their 2ks in hand because of their ability to filter. so there was noreason to risk in in my opinion, im better off trying to bluff in that spot. i could be wrong tho

Hello! I love your bonney videos! I have some questions about the deck that I hope you can answer me. Is 9 2k counters enough? I usually see 10-12. Why only 1 Zoro? I think it is really good and easy tu play with this deck. Why 4 hody jones? How do you feel about the 5 cost bonney character? Is it worth it? Thanks!

1. i think so. because of the leaders effect you can get away with less 2ks. and they are all searchable off the bonney/baby5 so i’ve never personally had a game where i thought that i needed another 2k to win. 2. only 1 zoro because it is only good in certain matchups. from my testing, zoro is really bad into lucci, boa, and doffy. ERNIE lobby and ice age get it to be killable by lucci or lucci leader eff + brook. then red rock for the other two. it’s arguable bad into RP Law. 2 gordan/max get it to 3k. now i’m very specific situations, dropping it against RP law is game winning. if they exhaust their resources and can’t recoup w reiju, then you can slam it and hope not to die next turn so you can kill, but even then that deck has tons of blockers. the only really good matchups for it are enel and the mirror. enel can kill it with raigo, but the going strat against them already is to purely go at board so that their raigos make them go -3 life to try and mitigate how good it is against you (also ace can’t rush w 3 life). and it is absolutely busted into the mirror. wins the game by itself. it’s also very good into rogue decks you will play rounds 1-4 at a tourney (ivan, rp luffy, uta, nami) so only 1 copy for those reasons. you only really want it in certain matchups and those matchups aren’t the most popular strategies you will see throughout the day. 3. hody is the best card in the deck in my opinion. it has so many things going for it that i think you could ARGUE 2-3 IF it was searchable. but i think 4 is mandatory since it isn’t. it is by far the best card against RP law. it ensures that you are able to attack board and not life which is game breaking. otherwise the matchup feels awful without hody. you need a rush card to combat their rush cards. of your cards can’t rush, and you’re only playing 1 card a turn, you will lose that card to removal before you can swing. without mentioning every single scenario hody is good, just think about what bonneys win condition is. her leader ability is designed to build a deck around tapping the board, controlling the board, attacking into the board, draining the opponents resources by forcing them to protect board while keeping them at high life, while at the same time gaining advantage through you taking life, drawing cards of searchers, and only playing one card out of hand a turn. there’s no better card in the green card pool that does those things than GOATY JONE 4. i’ve recently cut the bonney 5 drop to 1. similar thinking as zoro. it’s only good into some matchups that you can predict their turns and stun their don (uta, by luffy, gecko, doffy/boa) to stall a turn. it’s not that good into decks that have very high ceilings and can change how their turn looks depending on how much don they have (rp law, lucci, bonney) so it’s a very powerful card just depending on the MU and how you use it. but i have NEVER played a game where i saw the second copy and actually wanted to play it over a high end card. so that’s why i cut it to 1. i never wanna see more than 1 in any given matchup.

Why are u swinging into luffy just starve him and the matchup is so easy and free

@@thekidleo1 not sure where you mean specifically but yea that’s the going strategy currently. i probably swung bc he had luffy on field which punishes you for not swinging. or i’m swinging w cavendish to get the effect. or i’m trying to bait out counter. just depends on the spot. very important to remember that you can’t follow other peoples advice on a matchup 100% of the time. situations change, sometimes it’s good to do something simply because it will throw the opponent off. situational. that’s why this game is fun. also i like to change things up just to test out different strategies. if i just believed everything that everyone else was saying about a certain thing without testing the alternatives then how would i ever be better than them?
