Thanks, brother! I was watching one of your vids the other day because I'm considering working with Dakota Digital. Are you still liking the gauges?

I love the look of these. I have the tank piece and ordered the front fender, but I'm a little nervous about the side panels, which are really easy to snag.

Think you will change your wheels to BST carbon fiber since your trying to bring weight down ? I have the bst torque tek red satin ink 18 in rear and 21 in the front and it handles and brakes great
@MichaelBertini2 жыл бұрын
You will see soon enough. 😉 By the way, how are you liking the wheels? Any issues so far with them?
@roadgliding28182 жыл бұрын
No issues so far only put about 7000 km down running the cruisetec tires and I'm really enjoying the ride was running the dunlop elite with my stock rims before . Im running 13 inch Ohlins reservoirs in rear and the olhins 30 mm cartridge from big bear

Recently sent comment to million dollar Bogan to swap the S&S 590 cam to the S&S 540 cam in his 131 sent link of your video to him and he gonna try it out he announced. I have it in my 124 and I'm super happy aswell I ran the S&S 550 cam that came in kit but with heavy RG bagger wanted the early torque.!!! Keep up the great content really enjoying it through these times this world going through right now

@@roadgliding2818 That's great info and great to hear! I'm really considering the BST wheels still but we shall see. 😅 I hope my videos let people know that not all people are bad or at to get them. Some of us really want people to be happy, healthy and successful. I just hope that people can see that through my content. I know a lot of the Harley community is all about the "tough guy" thing, but I'm hoping to bring just a little bit of the "it's ok to be a little less tough sometimes to make people smile" to the community. 😅🤘🏼

I’d be curious to see how much lighter your bike is from stock
@MichaelBertini2 жыл бұрын
I've reduced the weight of the Street Glide by over 140lbs and that's only with the videos I've released. More weight saving videos are already filmed and the bike weighs even less now. 😅🤘🏼 But I'll be throwing it on a scale soon. 😬

@@MichaelBertini dude that is way more than I was thinking. That’s awesome. How noticeable is it when you ride? Must be night and day. Since you’ve got one I’ll ask. Was the weight you saved with a carbon front fender noticeable when you first rode with it? They say unsprung weight saving is a huge deal so I’m curious.
@MichaelBertini2 жыл бұрын
@@duffy1298 Yeah, it's night and day with turns, braking, and maneuvering. Harley could've done a much better job at making these so much lighter from the factory, especially at their price point. The front fender weight was definitely noticeable. Anything on the front in terms of weight savings is very noticeable. On the rest of the bike, you need bigger weight savings to notice it. But since the fender isn't attached to the front wheel I don't think it's consider unsprung weight, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I was thinking "unsprung" meant it had to be rotational. I have new wheels which definitely reduce the unsprung weight and you really notice a difference there. 👍🏼

I really want a set of these. Or any FXR style side cover, so someone needs to step up and offer a non-$500 option. Though those are absolutely disgusting.
@MichaelBertini2 жыл бұрын
That's going to be hard, based on what I've seen going into making some of these carbon bits with US labor. I felt that way about my bags until I had seen the process. It's too time consuming and so much it does by hand, plus the cost of quality carbon isn't cheap. These brands would have to significantly reduce margins to lower the costs and I wonder if it would even be worth making at that point. Just putting on my "businessman hat" here for a second. 🤣 Everyone wants to be paid more money, which drives the cost of everything else up and it's difficult for a small business owner to make a decent margin if they don't charge what they charge. I think the only way to reduce the costs is automation, which puts people out of jobs. 🥲
