We know how to do elimination reactions when something like a halogen is the leaving group. But we can we do this kind of chemistry to eliminate an amino group? We can! We have to do something called exhaustive methylation, and once you see how that works, you'll understand why we call it that. One more strategy for the tool kit coming up!

Hey there! I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for your work and your videos. Last month I tried my organic chemistry exam for the fourth time and I managed to pass it only thanks to your simple but effective explanations. I even managed to surprise my teacher during the oral examination since I was one of the few in my course that could actually understand and explain how NMR works! I got 29/30 just for that 😭 and I had just learned it and understood it a couple of days before with your tutorial, after many days of failed attempts on my notes and textbooks. Organic chemistry had become a nightmare for me, but in the end I even enjoyed it and I can't wait to learn more about chemistry and physics this year. I will continue to support you in every way I can in the future and I really wish for the best for you. 💖

@@michaelathens953 Hey you just need to reduce aldehydes and ketones in the presence of LiAlH4 or NaBH4 and you'll get your alcohols and if you want to make aldehydes/ketones from alcohols you just need to oxidize First degree alcohol with PCC to get aldehyde and and react a secondary alcohol with PCC to form a ketone Note: You can also use K2Cr2O7 or KMnO4 has oxidizing agents in conversion of alcohols in aldehydes ad ketones Hope it helps and if you have reached here would you mind checking out my channel as well
