Hogue G 10 (G10) J Frame grips (Smith and Wesson model 60)

Hey AJ, thanks for the comment! Its a 357 so its stiff... the model 60 is a little heavier so its not as bad as a lcr would be. My thought is this, if i was to get in a shooting the last thing I would be thinking about is recoil as long as i was comfortable with accuracy.

Also, Returned these grips due to the issues mentioned in the video. Hogue was excellent with their customer service. Spent 20 more and got the textured and love it. Video update to follow.

I think the screw under the grip is one of the three screws in the side plate. If you look, one of those three has a flat head, and the other two are round. The flat headed one goes under the grip for exactly the reason you had to grind a recess on the inside of the grips.

Thanks for the response. All the screws are rounded. This is a used gun so maybe its an after market screw but they are all rounded on this particular gun. But it was a really easy fix.

Nickols Landry I bet you're right. Somebody probably damaged the screw and replaced it with a round head.

Is this model 60 the same as the current 60 lady smith?

Hey just curious, how is the recoil with these? I'm thinking about getting a set for my LCR 357/38 but I'm kind of worried about the recoil being a serious issue. Thanks alot

aj you know I don't find it that bad... Using 357 +p can make the hand sore though!

They are supposed to be very smooth for concealed carry. The grips are configured as intended with forethought put into their purpose.

They were too smooth for a 357 in my opinion and I cc the gun with the textured and it works fine.

Go with the Hogue Bantam grips. Exact configuration in rubber. Sand the grip you have, its very common not to fit perfectly. Almost every frame is slightly different
