Sebastian was definitely in the wrong on how he handled everything, but in a way Solomon pushed him to that. I think if he was just kinder to his nephew and let him know that they would get through this together as a family, things would’ve been different. But he was just too angry and stubborn to do anything differently.

What I love about this storyline is how - aside from the magic elements, of course - realistic these characters are. The Sallows and their relationship to each other are something I’ve seen in real life with real families. There are no “bad” people here. Just many, many mistakes made and misunderstandings had, all of which resulted in tragedy. Personally I just love the realism of the relationships between these characters. The truth of them makes this the most compelling storyline in the game, and I really wish it had turned out differently.

Sebastian was wrong to kill his uncle, but DAMN Solomon is the worst. He clearly never cared about his niece and nephew. After St. Mungo’s he’s like, “Nope! Oh well, niece, looks like you’re gonna die and we may as well be miserable about it. Not even giving you hope. Because my life sucks, I guess.” Not to mention, he’s a complete hypocrite; he used the Unforgivable Curses when he was an Auror. Double standards much?

Yeah. There is a difference between being a hypocrite and having made mistakes, realizing that you were wrong, and not wanting others to make them too, and Solomon is a hypocrite. After all, he has used the curses, and thinks simply resigning as an Auror will fix everything. Instead, as soon as Sebastian used them, he criticized him and pushed him away instead of saving him from himself.

Solomon should have let Sebastian try the relic and been less of a close-minded asshole, and Sebastian should have listened to Ominis and been less of a fucking idiot. They both had good intentions, but they're both firmly in the wrong.

Many years of gaming, this prolly the best and most intense boss fight ever. I only got 1 wiggen weld and no plants, potions, etc. plus the dramatic tension of it all, this is hogwarts legacy at its best.

Solomon straight up using Fiendfyre on the MC is multiple times is wild... talking shit about his nephew using an Unforgivable to save Anne while he's off using cursed fire (which is also dark magic) to attack a 16 yr old ffs

Fan theory: Solomon is actually a lonely creep who just wanted Anne there with him all the time, and he was determined not to let Sebastian find a cure because then she would leave. There was no way out other than to kill him, so Sebastian was (in his own way) innocent. Anne had some variation of Stockholm Syndrome, whether magically-induced or not, hence her grief. 🤷‍♀️

Can anyone help me? So I’m doing this fight but once I’m about to defeat Solomon he keeps glitching. Just stands there and I can’t hit him with any of my spells. I can keep hitting the Inferi but nothing works on Solomon and i literally have one hit left until he’s done. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? It’s really aggravating lol

It's not because he was trying to murder his nephew. No, had it been a book/film, he would have just tried to talk the kid down. But it's a game. So it was time for a Boss Fight.

His uncle is the dickhead. So set in his ways that his niece couldn’t be cured. If I was Sebastian I would’ve hit him with that a long time ago for not letting me see my sister. Yes, Sebastian is extremely temperamental, but I would be too. His sister got cursed for life, and her Uncle gave up after St. Mangos. New spells and magic are discovered in this world, yet he was so sure that his niece could never be cured, to the point where he fought two teenagers. Solomon deserved that way before it got to this point

He tried to separate Sebastian from Ann by moving away without telling Sebastian where they were going because of the dark road Sebastian was walking. Sebastian attacked him first when Solomon destroyed the relic and Solomon was forced to defend himself.
