I see on Amazon the product description says no balancing is needed. Just clamp and go. How did this work for you?

Yes I tried that out on my Samsung S23 Ultra - no balancing was needed. Surprising. My first time trying a smartphone gimbal.

Hello! Is the hohem Isteady xe compatible with a Samsung s23 Ultra. I been looking forever now for a good gimple within a reasonable price such as the Isteady xe for more of personal use on family gatherings, vacations, recording videos of my pickup truck on offroad trips. And this gimble seems like a reasonable price with amazing features and specs. Unless you have other suggestions that includes same features. I would appreciate your input if you may..and is it possible to attach an extension rod to this gimble for family selfie pics..thanks in advance

How is the stabilisation for just a normal walking. I already have go pro which has smooth stabilisation and will buy insta 360 x3 soon..is it worth to get xe gimbal for my bad stabilisation phone. The only thing that worries is if it gets issue then I will have to throw it 😅

It will definitely stabilize your cell phone shots. However, I've found that my GoPro Hero 11 does an amazing job giving me smooth shots and you will also get some amazing stabilization with the Insta 360. You might not need this if you have the other 2 to work with.

I would stick with a GoPro or Insta360 camera and a fairly long selfie stick for running shots. I find that setup better for running and vlogging on the run. There is no real need for a gimbal when using these cameras because their stabilization that's built in is excellent these days!

🤔 wait I'm curious and a bit confused. You mention you don't have a camera man but whos filming you as your moving? If you're not using a camera man/woman, how are you able to film yourself when you're walking/moving? At a distance? I mean how are you filming yourself as your using the gimbal?

It’s a bit tricky but when you see me walking and talking while using the gimbal what you can’t see out of frame is me holding a selfie stick with my left hand extended out across my body with a GoPro attached to it. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.

​​@@RunTall uhhh 🤔 hmmm... okay because I'm a professional photographer. Can you explain to me the times when you are using both hands with the gimbal? There are a few times when both your hands are in the frame doing something. So how are you being filmed during those times? Should I mention the times I'm referring to? Like when you're doing the Crane shot. Because your left hand is clearly on your thigh as your going from kneeling to standing. Your left hand is in the video. How are you being filmed in that instance? I'm just saying because you made a point to let it be known you are not using a camera man/woman is all (shrugs)

@@Headintodreams I'm still using the GoPro Hero 11 Black. My selfie stick has a tripod on the handle so I just set it down on the tripod to film me using the gimbal. If you are looking for a gimbal that will follow you on it's own they have an awesome gimbal the hoehm iSteady MT2 kit. It will handle all of your devices pretty much, iphone, gopro, and my Sony ZV-E10. It has AI tracking that will follow you. I use it all of the time. I did review that one as well. I hope this helps.

I wanted to like this thing but as soon as I turn it on and it starts doing this weird vibration.. Then just like the insta 360 I'm returning the lock mode dies not work.. Again! What is with these gimbals and lock mode not working????

Doesn't fit s22 or s23 ultra. I don't understand why they don't make these gimbal holders bigger for large phones. I bought a very nice phone specifically for the camera and it does not fit in this gimbal it's very frustrating. I can't find any gimbal that will fit one of these phones. They say to take the case off but if I dropped the phone it's going to break so I have to leave the case on its kind dumb the way they have this thing set up

Damn was thinking the same. but after thinking about it, ur telling us a way different segment of gimbal that not all people need and keep in mind people used those kind of gimbal are using cameras and not phones. Just bear in mind ur opinion here is not relevant to the segment 😂😂😂

Hear me out - but not everyone has the same use needs. For example, this guy makes running videos. I make cycling videos.. Carrying a mirrorless camera isn't going to happen. Too expensive of I drop it, and I can't attach it easily to my bike - so I use a mix of phone and action cam. A full bowl gimbal would add weight, bulk and ultimately provide very little for my use case. The product doesn't work for you; that doesn't mean it isn't a good product.
