I’ve always wanted to try trail shoes but I usually only see trails once or twice a year. I’d definitely go Hoka if I ever do get some.

Great video! I have the Hoka Speedgoat 5 GTX and they are awesome for rainy winter terrain. I usually do my “dry” trail running on my Hoka Challengers; which I absolutely love as well. Cheers!

Hello Remy! It's always exciting to get a new furry family member. I got my first cat during junior year of college and after graduating, I got my second cat. They are both completely different personalities but I always come home to see them cuddling in the window. And I recently began fostering a dog. Sometimes it feels like a mini zoo but I love the dynamic and they all get along swell 😊. I'm glad to hear Remy is making fast friends. Great video as always!

Just secured the off white ones for $125 this Saturday at an Adidas Outlet. So random because I was snooping around the ultraboosts also on sale and came across my size of the adios pro 3 just left atop other shoes and immediately realized what those were so I sat down with other shoes I had in my possession and tried three different pairs on at the store and my hunch was the best ones to get were the adios pro 3 as this was a super buy. Now going home and looking at the outsole I was like oh oh maybe I should take them back. But after seeing many 100 mile plus reviews on KZbin I was still not convinced until I came across your review and because of your experience I’m choosing to keep mines as of today so thank you for your work you do. I can’t wait now to get them dirty. 🔥 🔥 🔥

Hi Tim, when you get greenlight to start your Chicago marathon training, if you can incorporate a period of base building, gradually increasing duration and intensity. I am concerned that if you jump back to an aggressive plan you might re-injure yourself because your tissue capacity is starting from diminished state. Maybe you should choose a far less aggressive goal this time designed to get to the finish line injury free as opposed to have some PR or BQ goal in mind. Just play safe this time and there will be many more more marathons in your future to get faster. Just saying. Best wishes!

My feet just don’t like Vaporflys. VF2s and VF3s always cause tendon pain in my foot after a run. I switched to the adidas and couldn’t have been happier with them. But there is so much I love about the Vaporflys and wish they worked better for me.

I tried it but end up returning it because my lateral ankle bones was hitting the upper part of it.It hurts. It's a shame because I like the color and cushion of it. The previous models I like because they put cushions around the ankle so the upper part doesn't really hit your ankle bones. I believe they still do it for the Vaporfly 3. I don't understand why they didn't do it for the Alphafly 3.I love. the previous models! It's a good thing I bought 2 pairs of 1st gen model and 2 pairs of 2nd gen model.

AF V3 was a massive upgrade for me. I struggled at the marathon distance in the AF V1 during the last 5k, calves just couldn't handle the 4mm drop. AF V2 worked really well in my next marathon, but I found them bulky and heavy in the last 10k...crazy wind and pouring rain probably didn't help. I still love the AF V2 for key long runs as a training shoe. The AF V3 has been amazing, it's so smooth and the transition is seamless. Used them a few weeks ago during a 10k TT and dropped my 10k PB by 2mins and I didn't even notice or think about the shoes....which is awesome! I'm running my spring marathon this sunday in the AF V3, and I will be running Chicago in the AF V3 as well. I suspect you will love them as well!

@@RunTall I ran 3:16:24, including a 2min emergency bathroom break at 27km, and I didn't think about or notice the AF V3 once all day. I also managed a 2min negative split...or even if you factor in the bathroom break. Now I wait to see if my 8:36 under the BQ will be good enough...while I prepare for Chicago and hopefully try and qualify for Boston 2026.

You’re fooling yourself if you think that your doctor can look at MRI results and tell you exactly when you will be ready to start running again. Four weeks is just an estimate. For a hip injury, the test is whether you can do single leg pogo hops on the injured leg without pain. If you can, you are ready to start a return-to-running program.
@RunTall6 күн бұрын
You are not wrong, the MRI and X-rays are only a small part of my overall injury evaluation. I'll continue to follow my doctor's guidance. I'm confident in his judgement. It might turn out that I'm not ready to start a return to run program based on his evaluation and assessment at my next follow-up appointment. Whatever the outcome, I'll continue to do what I can to stay fit and find joy in this part of my overall running journey. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to add to the conversation. Have a great day.

Only have had 1 WO run in mine and LOVE them!!! HR was so much lower and pace was 5-8" faster than expected. I think they will be a great, efficient marathon shoe for me. My fastest marathon is in the VP 3 though. I skipped AF V2 because of all the negative reviews. LOL I'm buying the Olympic colorway AF 3 as well in July for Chicago. Won't be long, 4 weeks and you are back (just not in these shoes)!!!!!!!

@@RunTall WONDERFUL!! Btw, having spent many many hours on the elliptical myself when nursing an injury or niggle and/or recovering, what has absolutely saved me is the Runseeker Running Music channel where you an choose the cadence that suits you ... maintaining the rhythm to their music can make a couple of hours on the elliptical actually fun when I really get into it!!

Prolly shouldn't have worked through the other hip injury. When you were getting ready for Chicago and had pain you most likely stressed the other side to make up for the bursitis hip which stressed the current. Moral of the story... listen to your body. It's taking to you.
