My grandmother know somebody she was from the Kaiser's family, and she was living with him in Netherlands.Her name was Maria von Arnim, but I didn't find this lady.

I found a Maria von Arnim, but she died in 1868 and her family was from von Oldenburg. I found a Mari*e* von Arnim that died in 1909, but that one has nothing to do with Hohenzollerns as well. The Oldenburg one could be distantly related to Hohenzollerns, but I'm pretty sure she died too early to meet your grandmother. However, she was born in Prussia. This could help a little, I guess.

Amazing march! You know, when watching Merkel's retirement send-off, I saw the alignment of the Bundeswehr soldiers. The posture is not at all like that of Kaiser Wilhelm's soldiers. It can already be seen in photos and postcards of that period. A clear contrast to our 21st century, strength, power and aristocratism streams from this picture on the screen saver.

Yes we had them until world war 1, then we got the mess of the Weimar republic^^ Only after ww2 the democracy became stable. The rise of Prussia is kinda epic, it was an unimportant eastern borderland at first and then rose to a super power uniting Germany.

Nice music,but wilhelm II is the worst kaiser ever due to his policy,bismarck once warned him that his policy will destroy german empire future Even his own mother didn't like him at all because his big ego,which is be a kaiser of the world,and one of the fatal is his love with the navy that lead to massive amount of expenditure to build the kriegsmarine to be equal to the royal navy and end with negative relationship with united kingdom,because around 1870-1890 an alliance of british-german pact is could happen due to heavy german influence after the franco-german war
