When you say original Basset, do you mean the Hohner Bass 2?

@@organ69 not the Bass2-i meant the BASSET. The very early one. This Bass3 is a good match with the Pianet T (same fake leather enclosure). The original Basset is taupe gray, it was later renamed Bass.

I cant believe how much these are selling for, they are not the best sounding instruments and are very cheaply built, the only reason I could see for buying one is as an investment, but IMO they have reached their antique price zenith and would only increase along the lines of inflation.
