The Beatles harp seems like a marketing gimmick, so thanks for saving me some money. I will stick my my Hohner Rocket Amps and Seydel Lightnings. I hope one day I can play a tenth as well as you. The last time The Beatles used a harmonica on a recording was "I'm A Loser", 1964. But there's a photo of the Rooftop Concert on the box.

The Beatles signature is made with exposed reed Pilates, Sandwich style, and the Special 20 has it is body inserted, I think we can resume this Beatles signature like a Big River harmónica with the Beatles silhouete in cover.

special 20 has a clearer, more focused sound. Less body than the beatles, but makes up for it with sweet crisp tone

Roadfordays, I'd pick that Special 20 over the Beatles harp any day of the week, if only for the playability. The Beatle's harp was only so, so.

I would say a hohner diatonic 1896-just a regular old fashioned diatonic harmonica. The Beatle's harmonica is just a collector's with their logo and such.

Though for a song like Love me do, John played the chromatic harmonica. So it's good to be able to play both.

It is more like a Marine Band with a plastic comb. Not a Special 20.

I find the Marine Band series much more serviceable than the Beatles harp.

Also, Marine Bands have open side vents. Neither the Beatles harp nor the Special 20 do.

Upon further inspection, Special 20 harps share similar cover plates to the Beatles harp over the Marine band. What do you see as the similarities and distinctions? Marine bands also use nails, not screws.

I'm also noting that Marine bands have distinctly smaller channels than either the Special 20 or the Beatles harp, further distancing the comparison.
