Brought home the Wurly 200A home today from storage. Played with it a bit in storage and got it home. This is really amazing... No keys are sticking, all keys are working and pretty much in tune and this has been sitting in storage for 11 years. Can't wait to clean it up and set it up as part of my rig. I'll probably replace 2 keys so they match the rest that have all yellowed but look quite cool and the rest of it is in excellent shape. Amazing build quality. They just don't make em like this anymore or sound like this anymore. GREAT!!!

really love your pianet sound. also cant help but noticed the wurli seems to be voiced more on the mellow side. my wurli has a lot more bite to it. not bad either way, but just thought it was interesting. your pianet really shines here. i want one now...

That Pianet sounds great! I just downloaded the Pianet patch for my Nord and it's sadly not a patch (eh?) on the real thing.

You get more dynamics in the Wurlitzer not to mention sustain. you can get that bright sound from a Wurlitzer if you hit it harder.

Awesome sounds!!! Ok mister, what is that you are running your pianet through! Is it a compressor or an overdrive? What sort of settings?

That Pianet sounds super cool, better than my wurli sound. Im thinking about searching for a xov continental first though, to cover more ground sound wise.

Ok now I'm convinced NEVER to part with EITHER the Wurly or the Combo Pianet as they are both quite unique. I just had my Combo repaired and I have my Wurly 200A in climate controlled storage. I found my 200A at curb side waiting to be hauled away to the trash heap. They had literally just put it out when I spotted it complete with the legs and music stand. Can't remember if it had the pedal. It will need some work but I was fooling with it unplugged as I have to get the power cord and I can tel you it's amazing how these things held up. Yeah it will need work but hey remember I paid ZERO for it!!! Anyway what effects pedal are you using that is sitting so nicely on top of your Combo??? And you're welcome about the videos.

What song were you playing in the beginning? If it’s improv I’d like to know some songs that sound similar :) I loved it !

I believe to answer your question, Look up "Donny Hathaway - What's Going On" it's the first song on the Donny Hathaway Live Album. This album is so f**king good, it's beyond words to describe it. It's true magic on a Wurlitzer

The very first bit sounds like a song call Tell Her No by the Zombies before What’s Going On

Hi... I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. I have one of these which I'm not selling but it needs a power adapter for it to work. Do you know what power adapter it is as the tip has to be the right one. Who makes it and what does it look like? Not all 9v adapters are the same. Thanks

the Wurlitzer stands on its own MUCH better, but the Pianet is begging to be played with effects through amps and Leslies and whatnot

And still Rhodes are the best
@patrickgallagher11617 жыл бұрын
That is very true. I do hate the guys at Vintage Vibe for putting the bump mod on all of their Rhodes, making them sound like Wurlys. Yes, the pianos are incomparable and it's all about the sound you want to have.
