This was such a great video! As a fellow Belgian, i was proud to serve the nation and to serve my general, my leader, the mighty Bittersteel! I was also abit dissapointed when paradox announced they were going to do the scandinavian countries instead of giving Belgium finaly the glorious focus it deserves, but we'll keep on hoping :)

I get the sinking feeling as I hear Bittersteel say: "I'm ignoring air, because I can do nothing in the air". Like I'm sure that's the line uttered near the start of about 70% of the disaster saves he gets, and the reason why they ended up disaster saves. Like that Belgian one. Heck just from my own experience even having something like 200 quality fighters sticking it out against seemingly overwhelming odds makes a huge difference compared to "I completely gave up even contesting the skies".

Hi Bittersteel, a nice tip is that you dont need AT against germany in singleplayer beacuse AA has enough hard attack a piercing to pierce the german tanks even in the endgame you dont need it beacuse advanced AA has like 90 piercing which is enough and you could have gotten more units out by war... Great video tho, keep doing what you are doing, they are really fun to watch

Yeah I had no idea how easy it was to get 50 factories as Belgium by simply invading France. That's all you have to do and its pretty much gravy after that. Belgium is seriously OP.

I actually just did my first Belgian game this week, going after their one achievement. I too went commie and took the rest of the low countries, but i decided to call it quits there, once I had the netherlands factories added to my own. This was a pretty cool run to watch :)

13:10 You could give a reteat order to the units which are being pinned into another one of your tiles and then change that retreat order to go into the enemy tile you want to take. That allows you to just ignore pins.

Dont rlly understand how this works. you right click on an adjacent tile, and then right click onto the enemy tile that you want to enter? thats it?

you can add resource rights and factory rights when you puppet or liberate nations, so you dont need to trade w them to have their resources. you should have added those rights and you would have a lot more civs and all the dutch east indies and oversees netherlands resources in full. havent watched the whole video yet so if its mentioned later sorry

Neat trick to get your war support up a bit with a country that has no navy is to make a captured capital ship your pride of the fleet, gives you 5% WS.

you know, you can nullify a pin if you select the pinned unit, click to make it retreat into a friendly tile then click right after to make it “retreat” into the free enemy tile

The US didn't get called into the allies because Japan never attacked the allies, Japan is meant to be the common enemy that justifies the US joining the faction instead of making it's own with Mexico The idea is that Japan is meant to declare on Philippines and a few weeks later declare on the Dutch East Indies/Netherlands who should be on the Allies by 1941 If you kept playing sooner or later Japan will declare on you, and if you switch back to democratic the US will ask you to join your faction

I am 99% sure the crash is caused by taking the navy in the peace deal. Happens to me on occasion, it sucks.

Yeah I had this issue as well. My theory is that it happens if the enemy has occupied the port that the ships will go to at some point during the war it doesn't work. Even if you have retaken that province. I had this happen to me as Red Czechs I lost my Yugo ports, but took them back and capped Axis. I couldn't take Navy despite having owned ports from a previous peace deal. I restarted and made sure to never let Italy into Yugo, then I was able to take the ships in the peace deal.

Even though you don't have cores on them i still think it would be cool for you to take up to the river near Wilhelmhaven even though theirs two tiles where the river ceases and take up to the Marne river in France. Also my understanding is Communism is pretty busted because the Ideological Loyalty thing that gives you Manpower regularly.
