Shirer" for a more general out line. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maginot_Line If you are too busy to read a book scroll down to the German invasion tab for a brief summary. Though it's best to stick to critically confirmed publications. I believe the german breakthrough was simply so overshadowed by the dash to the sea through Belenux that it simply gets overlooked by those who not necessarily major fans of history(hoi players). I just thought it was a fun fact that gets overlooked more than most any other part of the war for some reason.

1. *People. Historical means its with historical events and wars. They cant program game to copy even the historical movements, else WW2 fanatics would know Hitler, Joseph, Churchill or Roosevelt movements 4 years early. It wouldnt be logical. Unexpectedness is the thing, that keeps the interest. Like Hitler said about real war when he was still waiting to invade France after declaration of war : War is like a door to a dark room. You never know what awaits you* This proove we need a game where we dont know enemy movements. 2.Did Hitler just released Lithuania as vassal to control almost whole Baltikum? Then again. Lithuanians were fans of nazis.

Unfortunately, Nazis were not fans of them. Just read Ernst von Salomon's Outlaws or Erich Balla's Abenteuer an Baltikum. Nazis saw these lands as inherently Germanic with their quite large German/Scandinavian population pre-Russian Revolution, so they would be Germanised even if there was a slight chance for puppet, but formally independent Slavic states (Rosenberg actually stood for the idea, but Bormann actively opposed it).
