Can’t sign NA pact when in faction, that happened bc they had already kicked Portugal out but they were still fighting a war on the same side. The Democratic AI purely judges it based on WT and if they are threatened by/aggressive towards the other nation(other ideologies are same but don’t care abt WT). That calculation does not take into account NA pacts.

Comparing Brazil to India, as far as how important they were within the empire, Brazil wins handily. When at one point Portugal kinda lost Portugal, the government moved to Brazil. Then the king of Portugal made himself emperor of Brazil and not king of Portugal, and even when he got Portugal back he stayed in Brazil and Portugal was literally a colony of Brazil until they got super pissed about that and rebelled and forced him to come back to Portugal. But still, for a time, Portugal was literally a Brazilian colony. India, while by far the most important part of the British empire, never came close to that level.

Stakuyi brother how can you make Portuguese colonial empire without coring its African colonies? After you do the Luso-Tropicalism you need to go to decisions and there you can integrate (core) Mozambique and Angola, also if you do the other focuses in the right path of the Colonial assimilation policy you will have core rubber, oil and more steel which will greatly improve your economy since you dont have to import the resources that much.

I usually join the bad guys long enough to get away grinding the UK and sniping Vichy. Then I go for Japan and try to take them out before Germany and Soviet Union fight. I let the Germans get deep into Moscow and mollywop the Axis from both ends with Naval invasions. I love to see how other people approach Portugal. It's very versatile.
