It all worked. I had an issue with cores. I can add a core, but not remove cores for certain states.

Great tutorial! Thank you very much 💪🏻 Everything worked fine - well almost, since I still messed something up I suppose. When I start the mod in the game, all country names are missing except for the "Raj" part of the British Raj and "Manchuko" for whatever reason. Whenever I delete the newly made localisation folder the names are back, so it must’ve to do with this one, yet that’s all I know. Do you have a clue why this is?

I did all of this but, it doesn't show the country on the map. It instead shows nothing-you can't selected the country nor access the state.

I tried some tutorials but I can never make the country appear on the map... I'm coding in VScode until the preview map extension shows the country there but when I open the game itself neither the country nor its cores appear.

I've spent >4 hours following your tutorial very carefully but the country did not appear. It replaces Voralberg, Austria, but it doesn't even show up. (I have restarted the game quite a few times). Is there something with Austria that stops the country from working? Or is the game somehow not set right for the mod to appear? (This is my first time making a mod and also having a mod). Thank you!

Thanks an actual updated tutorial that works, the only problem I had was I could not open the images for flags and portraits on paint so I had to download some offbrand paint app. Any idea how to fix? I can provide more details

Use paint.net not just paint, paint.net can open it, the paint.net site is getpaint.net

get paint.net, from their website its free, yes you can add your own custom flags, and your wont show, I have solutions in the discord

never override base game mod files the issue is your documents C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod delete everything in that folder then go to: :\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\394360 and delete everything in that folder as well. This will force steam to redownload all your mods Ok once you've done that and Steam redownloaded your mods. Start your launcher scroll down to GAME Clear Cache - click Now scroll a bit down to "Launcher Settings" Opt out from personalized content ON Recieve Beta versions of the Launcher OFF Also try validating your steam files rightclick hoi4 in your steam library go to properties then local then validate game files and navigate to BETA and make sure beta participation is set to none there as well. All countries, except canada doesn't have a name when i run my mod. My country exists, but it also doesnt have a name. i checked my mod files 2 times with the tutorial and there is nothing wrong with it.(I think)

​@@DinoHoi4Modding fixed a problem found another, my country's flag wont appear in the game when you play as it. edit: even units doesn't have a flag too and the game confuses other countries flags by putting it on the units. But the flag shows in the main menu.

@@wafflesis the issue is the format you saved the flag in, look how I save country flags they must be under the same format, also make sure the flag is the right file size

the issue is with the localisation file, make sure the file is the correct name, if this does not fix it, please join the discord and show me screenshots, I reply within 24hrs

@@enessezgin1536 it is just a bug with the hoi4 mod I believe you just got to delete the entire documents folder then relaunch the game, please backup any mod and save file first, there is a entire form on this subject you can also search, im unsure why this is the bug but it is
