I dunno if it’s just me, but I honestly find managing smaller nations to be far easier than using majors and having to micromanage a bunch of different stuff right out the gate

@@Generic-ODST Yeah, like, to win as a historical Germany you HAVE to pump out troops constantly all the way up to 39, do focuses like molotov-ribbentrop, build the agency, air, tanks and navy in time for WW2, manage multiple fronts once it starts and either rush SeaLion or Barb to not get bogged down in a war with both USSR and USA. As an Axis or Allies minor you can just put every bit of your economy into 2 tank divisions and then rely on the majors to actually hold the fronts, maintain green air and achieve naval superiority while you do le epic encirclements that just about tip the balance in favor of your faction

To be fair the people that picked Aussa probably knew that it was one of the most OP of small nations, you can troll about Liberia or Tannu Tuva, but Aussa has very strong buffs and a decent focus tree.

Every HollowBeing video a lot of what i can only focus on is seeing just how low the strength bars on his divisions can go before he finally decides to stop using them in combat.

Interesting challenge idea, but not fun country to apply to. I'd try USSR with hystorical focus. Because there are two ticking timers: purges and Germany, and you have to deal with those somehow. Also there are - what? four? five? - political paths to go with interesting civil wars, which you have to prepare first. Also I'd consider Mexico and probably Spain for this challenge. May be France as well. And Poland. I'm not sure if there are more promising interesting countries for this.

Were your transport planes already in the air when you tried to paradrop? (I might be yapping) Also if you want decent fighter planes just go 2 4x Heavy MGs, Armor Plates, Self-Sealing Fuel Tanks and Engine 3s (although maybe not ideal for Aussa)

I didn't vote, but in 26 days my first aussian aircraft carrier 1940 is ready with 3 slots for airplanes. Aussa is a good country. But it is sad that many opportunities are locked unless you get marionetizied and that it can't develop resources, as any other Ethiopian country can :( that should really get changed

The thing you should really do for playing such a minor or mid country with limited production is put maintanace companies in when able because it give you free equipment, v useful against a larger nation. Also did you really just play as a minor without promoting anyone to field Marshall so many lost stats. Also the ai will NEVER BUILD railways or supply hubs. They are coded not to, so to answer your question Germany will not build them no

This was a nice change of pace from Hoi4 Formables A-Z! You should do this challenge again but with two changes: 1) Play a country with a huge focus tree (like Turkey). 2) Use the console commands Focus.NoChecks and Focus.IgnorePrerequisites. These will allow you to choose focuses anywhere in the focus tree and in any order. Just know that the commands will affect the AI too.
