It's really annoying, that the world implodes when the war doesn't end before 46. It's always an all out war with four giant factions trying to defeat each other.

Yeah, Turkey declaring on the Soviets while already at war is weird enough, but the rest of allies happily joining Turkey in that war? That is clearly a bug, not a feature.

I have an idea for true suffering if you want to brave it:Super Heavy Tank Only Go back to Avalanche, use commands to give yourself the Super Heavy Tank in '36, and then try and play the game but you can only have SHT divisions, with SHT battalions and either motor/mech battalions for support, and then you can have as many support companies as you want. Also, why did it take me three or so tries to spell "True"?

You can make single battalion infantry divisions, and win It's not really too difficult as the Soviet Union (I mean, I lost 7.9 million men against Poland, but hey, there's more where they came from! Yes, you can push back Germany, just take advantage of the small spaces)

I accidently did this once as Russia. Decided to build trash partisan units and just put them in swamps and cities then do a figting withdrawal. Ended up grinding out all the german equipment until they were empty. Although I did follow up with some proper units when it came time to push.

No, Majority of GBP bonuses are NOT infantry based. Unlike other doctrines that focus on a specific branch of your land army's capabilities- tanks and motorised (MW), artillery and airforce (SFP), or foot infantry (MA) GBP mostly improves EVERYTHING- it doesn't matter what's inside of your divisions, you're still getting +10 entrenchment, +30% planning, +20% breakthrough +5% soft attack, +30 Command Power, +0.25 Command power generation, +2% reinforce rate, +10% coordination, -5% fuel and supply consumption, and +1 brigade size faster than anyone else. (assuming the left part, which is the only correct path ever since the right's night attack bonus was nerfed) Every. Single. Division. Benefits from those bonuses, it doesn't matter if you're going for infantry+arty, tanks, fully motorised army, special forces spam (also if you want to do naval invasions, this is the doctrine for you, because it's the only one that allows you to get planning on your marines before naval assault, without using the planning exploit- which you can't always do since not always will you have a conveniently placed border... and even if you do use it, it gives you a plausible deniability in Multiplayer) or whatever weird and wacky challenge you're doing this time- GBP WILL improve it, and it will improve it by quite a lot: +36% soft attack, +30% hard attack, +56% breakthrough, and +20% defence is nothing to scoff at.
