Dirt Rally 2 - Samsung C49RG90 - SFX100 Motion

With the Samsung 49" mounted on the rig, driving in the dark is an almost VR experience.
Motion clues might look low, but besides the SFX100 motion, there's a GS-5, Seat Belt Tensioner and 5 butt kickers which all can't be seen in the video.
Sorry for the bad audio, it was recorded with my phone from my stereo headphones. The sound you hear in the back ground is the amplified sound of the SFX100 actuators. In real life they are very silent. This video is recorded during the nightly hours.

This is awesome, I'd like to build something similar, however I'm concerned about monitor longevity with all the vibrations. How has yours held up?

This looks like a seat mover and not Dbox. Did you switch back? Also the travel looks shorter, is this a nextlevel series 3? The screen seems to be Samsung's 49"

No No, It's still the SFX100 with the screen mounted on the rig moving with the motion at lower settings, but still very impressive motion cues. It's almost a VR experience.

If I wanted to use this monitor for iRacing on PC AND XBox, would that work? I have all of my other gear, playseat, etc. but am totally stuck without knowledge on how to choose the right monitor. I want to casually race buddies on Xbox F1, but then also use the PC too down the road and perhaps VR. Thoughts?

I was thinking about that monitor but I will stay with 21:9. Actually I did rather have good VR headset like HP Reverb G2 than this 49" colossus and the price is twice as for VR 4K headset.

GPU, 5120x1440 is very demanding ! but less than 4k :)

4K has 8 millions pixels this 49" monitor has 7,372,800 pixels, nearly the same power is demanding like for 4K, even more cuz we have wider field of view which impact performance as well.

Man, your sim rig is awesome!! I wish we were neighbors!! My 49" will hopeful be here tomorrow and I'm worried about the motion of my rig because I too, have the SFX-100 setup. Its #brsp20 on Instagram.

No problem for my back at all, since i'm strapped in tight, i'm "one" with the movements of the rig. Sometimes a drive in the rig actually helps solving light back problems.
