I watched this video a few weeks before playing DR2 for the first time. My first impression watching was "dang cool game, she seems pretty fast". After a few weeks of playing for myself and I just came back to this video. My reaction is now "Oh my ... holy ... what? Oh my god how did... how did she do that? She's so fucking fast!". She absolutely sends it. Outstanding stuff.

In real racing they can't or at least usually don't go flat out like this because the risk is too great for both car and driver (though obviously they still go pretty terrifyingly fast.) High level rally drivers are very rarely going as fast as they know they can, because over the course of a long race you have to manage the risk that you crash out. The closer to the limit you drive the tinier a mistake it takes to end your race. One wheel a few inches wrong is all it takes to hit a rock and send your car into low orbit at those speeds. Colin McCrae was famous because he raced in real life like we race in video games. It allowed him to do some absolutely incredible stuff, but he never actually won many championships because that is more about consistency than balls-out driving. @@NightRunner417

@@nikolainikiforov3883you do know Sim games don’t translate to real world driving, im not saying shes a bad driver in game or irl i dont know, but i cant drift for shit in games, but irl i can, to initiate transfer y need your brake and steering and in this video is theres not much braking being applied, she when flat out the whole course

@@amanac23 Some of it do translate...there are many ways to drift not only using brake, such as weather, type of tyres, engine, weight......but yeah maybe l'm wrong.(because i'm not professional) You can do a research for sim game call Gran Turismo(I hope I spell it correct), I heard that game using real life modulus.

i had never thought of it before but if you see the information that the driver hears/sees. Then has to process that information ,then tell the arms/ legs/feet what to do in milliseconds just amazes me .this video shows that process brilliantly.

I usually associate the pace notes with the gear I should be in, seems to be the only way to get around the track without crashing, but it seems you can push beyond that. I did notice the lack of using the brake pedal, something I had been working on ! You really don’t need to brake as much as you’d think you need to!

For me the hardest part about rally and the dirt games are the predictive pre-steering. Im just starting to get the hang of it but its crazy how early you are steering for the corners, Understandable at that speed though.

How many degrees of steering is reccomended, I use 540 but It looks like she is using a lot more, my shifters are on the wheel which is why i preffer 540 as I can alswys keep my hands and 9 and 3.

This is awesome! Glad KZbin algorithm brought me here. I bought a rally game along with the PlayStation (first one) when it first came out, but was so frustrated with it because I had no idea how to drive/play it. So I never played it again.. Shame because I like watching rallying the best of all motorsports. Great video & subscribed!

I used to play Richard Burns Rally game about 15 years ago on my Logitech Momo Racing wheel. Its physics was pretty realistic.

Firstly, that is a STAGGERING amount of driving skill on display, and secondly, the amount of speed and commitment she takes into the corners is frankly TERRIFYING. I've **never** gotten through any stage in Dirt Rally 2.0 that quickly or cleanly. always amazing. kudos.
