I have an Arahi 6 and am contemplating on buying the Arahi 7 coz its a very good comfortable stability shoes I love it

They’re great! Are you a runner or walker?
@gugunsdj7 ай бұрын
Yesterday, I bought these shoes and immediately felt hesitant because they are rarely used by runners in Indonesia. By the way, I bought the all-black Arahi 7 not primarily for running but just for walking, including going to work. But after your review, I feel quite reassured and no longer doubt it. Thank you, greetings from Indonesia.

I broke my ankle, the low area around the ankle is very comfortable, hoping the j adds to support and makes walking easier

Oh no, hope you recover fast! These should be a good choice for you with the low collar walls, articulated heel counter and stability J frame 👍🏼

Would these or the Clifton 9 be better for plantar fasciitis? I have the new balance 990v6 and those are great, I wanted to try some of the hokas. Most of my shoes are shoes I can’t wear at work for long hrs

Thanks for your question! I recommend not running too much on a plantar injury, it will take so much longer to recover from otherwise.. Sadly, I've had this a few times in the past but eventually came up with some methods to recover from it quickly - read my tips if you want to get rid of it too (I know how debilitating it can be!): www.trailandkale.com/tips/how-to-treat-plantar-fasciitis-at-home/ --- But, in answer to your question, both the Hoka Arahi 7 and Clifton 9 could be good options, but they have some key differences. The Arahi 7 offers more stability due to its structured support and Hoka's J-Frame technology, which helps guide your foot while still providing cushioning. This could be helpful if you need extra support during long hours on your feet. The Clifton 9 is a more cushioned, neutral shoe with a softer ride, which can be beneficial for relieving heel and arch pain caused by plantar fasciitis. However, it doesn't have the same stability features as the Arahi. If you're looking for a balance between support and comfort for long hours, I'd lean toward the Arahi 7. But if you prioritize plush cushioning, the Clifton 9 may be the way to go. Hope that helps a bit! -Alastair

Excellent review - thank you! It helped me decide decide about this shoe with its key features and my use and needs. The only question I have is how it off road? I will travel for several weeks with some mixed surfaces, uneven paths, etc. Can this shoe handle that and perform well? Thanks again!

That’s great to hear; thank you!

How technical are we talking for the trail surfaces? You may do better with a road to trail shoe if you plan on doing a lot of trails with them too

Hi there Would these be suitable for a recent Subtalar Ankle fusion? Many thanks

It sounds like a stability shoe is definitely what you’re after and this is one of my favorites. Some other alternatives can be found on my stability running shoes roundup here: www.trailandkale.com/gear/best-stability-running-shoes/. - hope you have a swift recovery! -Alastair

Do you think this would be good for hallux rigidus? Have been having some pain and i cant decide if this or Bondi 8 is better
@trailandkale10 ай бұрын
Hi there! These could be a solid choice for that but depending on your feet and how bad your hallux rigidus is you may prefer the Clifton 9! It has a wider toe box, and more cushioning under foot. It’s great for both running and walking. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need any other pointers! -Alastair

I found the toe box very narrow and both my big toes were killing me ……to the point where I couldn’t walk any further. So sorry I bought these. Only wore them a few times in the 60 days I’ve had them and can’t return them for its passed 60 days.
@trailandkale3 ай бұрын
Yes the toe box is medium - narrow. The wide version works best for wider feet. Annoying you missed the return period!

Curious about arch I have a higher arch n I walk not run is this good for these
@trailandkale8 ай бұрын
These have a standard arch. You may want to consider swapping out the insole for a more supportive arch for your foot shape if you have high arches

I typically don't buy online but I found a good deal on this tennis shoe. I'm hoping they will work. I guess if there's anything I wish you would say is if you would purchase these. I'm not a runner so I guess it depends on what you're buying g the shoe for. But otherwise very informative!

Thank you! You could run in the woods with them but there are better Hoka shoes for that… I’d recommend the hybrid Challenger ATR 7 or for more serious trails, the Speedgoat
