Nice review, I have been using the Clifton 8 as my daily trainer for my runs and it was so comfortable i was also using it as a casual shoe. It was my first Hoka ever and I gotta say I'm really impressed with the comfort and how it absorbs impact on my runs/walks. I've been curious about Brooks as I've never had an, so I just ordered the Ghost 14 today. Looking forward to trying out Brooks for the first time and experiencing the differences and seeing which ones I like more. I absolutely loved the Clifton 8's and might just get another pair regardless lol

Thanks for the comment! I am defiantly not discounting the Brooks for my activities outside of running... I actually just used the Brooks 13s today while tossing around the ball, then switched over to the Hoka for a run afterwords. I was tempted to look at the Ghost 14s as well when I saw some of the new features, while I was doing Brooks research for this video. I guess I'll let the 13s finish out their useful life first. Have a great day, hope you enjoy the new 14s as much as I like the new Cliftons!

My next shoe is down to these, any thoughts 1 month with the Hokas? How do they seem to hold up?

So far the Clifton 8s are still holding up great.. Ive been averaging about 1.5 mi 5x a week and they are still very comfortable on the foot. I haven't had any problems since switching from the Ghosts. I do find myself keeping the ghosts in the trunk to throw on after the run, when heading into the gym... I'm trying to preserve the cushion on the run as much as I can and also have more control with weights when I'm wearing the Brooks. Still highly recommend and plan on keeping this brand and model as my go to for future purchases, Hope that helps !

Now I m running with mizuno wr 24. For next pair I m thinking about hoka Clifton 8 or mizuno wr 25. Your opinion?

Hello, thanks for the comment. I have not had a chance to try the Wave Riders, but I have a friend who swears by them. The WR 25 looks like it is much more comparable to the Hoka Clifton 8 then the WR 24s were due to the emphasis they placed on improved cushioning and breathable materials. It also looks like the 25s will have much better durability and energetic response as compared to the 24. That being said the heel to toe drop on the 25s is 12 mm, which is the same as the Brooks ghost 13s I transitioned from when I went to the Hoka Clifton 8. Judging by the stats I would assume you will find the Clifton 8 likely has a little more cushion than the 25s. Other than brand specific differences I think the biggest factor you will find is going from 12 mm drop on the 25s to 5mm. My style of running has no problem with this but you will find a little less of a roll through with the Clifton. I would Recommend going to a running shop to see if you like the differences between the brands, if that’s not an option and you don’t have one around somewhere with free returns like Amazon might be worth it to see if if the Hokas are a game changer for you too! Hope that helps let me know if you have any other questions!
