[Hokkaido Backcountry] ski hike to the spectacular scenery in 1.5 hours | Daisetsuzan Mt. Kurodake

December 2, 2023 I ski hiked to Mt. Kurodake in the Daisetsu Mountain Range!
First backcountry ski of the season!
It took an hour and a half from Kurodake Ski Resort, so it was a physically friendly route (*^^*)
The snowfall on Mt. Kurodake Ropeway was 120cm, but we were able to climb it easily thanks to the trail of those ahead of us.
When we removed the trace, there was about 10 to 30 cm of snow on a solid layer.
There was a layer of ice just below the peak, but I climbed it with strong seal skis.
Spectacular 360 degree view of silver on a clear day✨
The white mountains of Kitadaisetsu under the blue sky were nice (*^^*)
Skiing from the peak is 20cm of fluffy powder snow!
I might have enjoyed it more if I was a little better at skiing 😆

冬の黒岳は夏とまったく違いますよね〜。 あの急登には全体力を持っていかれてしまいます。 でも山頂に立った時の達成感や景色は最高ですよね。 スキーも楽しそうだなぁ。

夏の黒岳は岩々と高山植物のコントラストが素敵ですが、 冬は本当に一面真っ白～の世界になりますね✨ あの急登、周りの皆さんとヒーヒー言いながら登ってました(*^^*) スキーもぜひぜひ！
