As someone who is in the early stages of learning Japanese, these videos are really inspirational to me. I spend about an hour a day learning vocab and practicing kanji and it often feels like I'm going nowhere. However, when you upload a new video, I can tall that in the past two or three months, I find myself able to understand a lot more of what you say, and that's really exciting. I recommend to anyone that you should try watching these videos without the English subtitles and try to pick up on things through the context and apply your knowledge of Japanese from other lessons.

I haven't learned how to say this in Japanese but, I'm learning a lot from your channel! I'm learning at home online. Primarily, I'm focusing on vocabulary. I listen to several channels talking about the same thing. That way, I can hear the same vocabulary spoken with different intonations. I also try to read the Japanese text while I listen. It helps me learn my letters.🌸

I was just there just three weeks ago and liked it a lot, the weather was nicer. A very pleasant town indeed. Because it's very close to Sapporo and no need to buy a separate ticket, can use the same Suica/Pasmo card as the Sapporo MRT, it's very easy to visit, can go every weekend if you live in Sapporo, or on the way to Kutchan/Niseko. Thanks for the video.

The Otaru sign!! There are moments in which I am reading , and thinking that what I am reading doesn't read correctly-even sounds a bit off. But this sign having the Romaji I was able to correct myself by understanding the directionality. Signs, on businesses, the terminal, and such, often have a Western way of reading that it makes me forget to read at times right to left. This was a good reminder, and also a interesting thing to consider how being fluent you can detect the directionality easily, more naturally. It will still take me some time to know Naka (中) instead Chu (中), which is one of my favorite kanji's.

７月小樽の近く塩谷で水泳できて本当に楽しかったです。確かに小樽に訪ねるのは楽しいんですが、周りの場所を行ってみるのも楽しいと思います。北海道が大好きです！ それに、あかね先生は札幌にいるうちにエイトカリーというカレーのレストランはおすすめです。自宅にいる雰囲気もありますし。

今年3月に小樽に観光に行きました。 色々トラブルがあってスケジュールが狂ってて小樽に着いた頃はもう真っ暗でしたが、運河にはまだ灯りが付いてて綺麗な景色が見られました。 雪が降っていなかったことと、次の日朝一町出て行かなきゃいけなかったのがちょっと残念でした。 また小樽にちゃんと見に行きたいです。
