Hola Mahalla means the charge of an army and is the Sikh Festival of Valor. A 3-day celebration that follows the Festival of Colors, Holi, it is known for its display of martial arts, valor, and community service. It was first organized by Guru Gobind Singh to ensure that the Sikhs were always prepared to defend themselves, by participating in mock fights and contests.
