Hi James. I know this pike very well. My favourite part is the tapping at 7:09. Until today I never realized how poetic it could be to slow down on the last notes played at the end of the measure. It accents the contrast between speed and romantic feeling underlining the song. I always missed to understand this sweet detail in the original, and I really appreciate how you got and played it again. My compliments, and rock on.

Thank you @@bradgaffney9855. I think every song has its own "spirit", that can be nailed and pursued regardless of the original source. The tapping of Buckethead comes after an intense rhytmic part, resulting in a relaxation of that intensity, and to create a moment of break as you did allows to accent this opening, and to breath into it. Its less complicated to execute, but way more powerful because the passion is not absorbed into the execution itself but can vibe into that suspension longer. This pike wasnt written for amaze people, but for expressing something deeper as the melancholy inspired by the missing of a beloved one. I think that this feeling belongs more to the abandonment to the passion itself more than trying to border it into a precise, technical execution. You nailed it.
