"Hold Me" is a song recorded by Texan P.J Proby in 1964, Jimmy Page played the chugging rhythm guitar on the original recording and
Big Jim Sullivan played the lead guitar and solo.
BJS also used a fuzz pedal loned to him by Jimmy Page on the recording.

I played my Fender Telecaster guitar, into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen USB Audio Interface, then into a 'Reaper Mixing Software' programme to record the sound whilst playing to the backing track of :- 'Hold Me'
Using Reaper & Guitar Rig, I produced the desired sound required and saved the finished soundtrack to my computer as a MP3 file.
Then I placed the camera footage onto the timeline in CyberLink PowerDirector19, 'BUT' I replaced the camera soundtrack with the 'NEW'
computer mixed soundtrack from Reaper and Guitar Rig, re-edited the footage to produce the finished video of :- 'Hold Me'

Hi Phil, thanks for the response………. Pleased you enjoyed my arrangement of ‘ Hold Me ‘ hitting those Tele strings just sounded right ! I can remember all the to do over his trouser splitting episode too, apparently he had asked the guy who had been making shirts for Tom Jones to run him up a pair of trousers in the same material for his Top of the Pops performance……… He did, using the same material as he had used for Tom’s shirts……….. Proby wasn’t happy and had a go at Tom behind his back, Tom found out he had been slagging him off and went into Proby’s dressing room and wanted to take him outside …….. The sounds one can achieve from a guitar has always amazed and fascinated me, there are some that are quite happy to just strum away and accept the sound of chords etc, some experiment with pedals and gadgets and are always chasing a different sound to everyone else, There are those who seek perfection and are never satisfied with there music……………. And then there is me. Just happy to be able to knock out a tune or ten, living the dream day after day, sitting alone happy as Larry deciding which piece of music to play today………… never get fed up of playing and always very thankful to be able to ……………. Never two instrumentals are the same, there’s always a challenge and I absolutely love to receive comments from guys like you, If I can give pleasure by playing then my time spent hitting those strings is worth while. Morning Krishna and thank you for your response to my latest arrangement of ‘ Hold me ‘. Ask anyone who remembers the song and they will tell you the story of the day which will always be remembered for the new pop star P.J Proby the new Texan performer, coming over to England for his first ‘ Top of the Pop’s’ performance wearing a pair of trousers that were so tight that they split whilst performing the song ‘LIVE ‘on ‘TV ‘ ………………… ( the TV music show of the day back then ) He was said to have done it purposely and he made the headlines for all the wrong reasons, A talking point which went on for weeks. ( Also remembered for one or two guys playing in his backing band on the show, who became big names later on!……. Big Jack Sullivan and Jimmy Page ) ‘’’’’’Those were the days. I enjoyed playing this one and I’m pleased to hear you enjoyed it too. All good at the moment hopefully you are too……….. Hi Al………..‘Hold Me’ …… a so long ago memory I had almost forgotten the trouser splitting charade etc…….. I can also remember him demanding a helicopter to take him down to the theatre at the bottom of the pier at Blackpool and also a night when Tom Jones threatened to take him outside.………….Memories Hey I could write a book. Hi Olav, many thanks for your comments on ' Hold Me ' which was a big hit here in the sixties. Mostly because P.J Proby the American guy who recorded it split his trousers on live TV performing it 'LIVE ' as they were to tight. 🤣 My Sunburst Tele is a part caster and has rather a unique sound, I bought it secondhand and spent a few pounds on it getting it how I wanted. The Duesenberge tremolo system was the most expensive part of my rebuild but looks the part and works well, however, on my other Tele ( a butterscotch Squire ) I put on a Bigsby trem, I find this to be inferior to th Dusenberge which I find to be ten times better.
