Hold On It's The Dave Clark Five (1968)

Hold On It's The Dave Clark Five was a film by The DC5, written, directed and produced by drummer Dave Clark. It was released in 1968 after their 1966 short film "Hits In Action". It included skits and montages set to their greatest hits from the time. It included guest stars such as Richard Chamberlain and Lulu. It was also the first film produced by Dave Clark's film production company Big 5 Films.

I don't think "Always Me" appeared on record until it was the B-side of a 1977 re-release of "Everybody Knows" on Polydor. The show itself was apparently a failed pilot for a Saturday night variety series. IMDB gives the release date as August 31, 1968.

Remember the DC5 are British, so this is one of those shows that aired in the UK, but not in the USA...
