Anybody else think it would have been perfect if we saw Odysseus string the bow, take aim through the twelve axes, and then shoot Antinous?

what else would be cool is if on that last note when his mouth is wide open as he goes "SOOOUUUL" that the arrow gets shot at his mouth and pokes out the back of his head, thats how i pictured it when I heard just the song without the animations

Thats how it happens in Odyssey. Antinous is the first suitor to die, by being shot with an arrow in his throat. Every suitors name has a secret meaning and their way of being killed too. Antinous means the one who speaks without thinking and thats why he is the first to die and spesificaly with his throat (his main "weapon") being shot

as i said before, i am in love with how Antinous looks in here 2:15. his look is like that of a starved dog seeing food for the first time in years, his hunger and thirst is so great that he lost his mind, it's really creepy and makes you wonder about the hell Penelope would have suffered if he didn't die.

I don't think he leaves much to the imagination, he was pretty graphic. It captures the depravity is all I'd really say.

The more I think about it, I LOVE how they set up Antinous to be like the final conflict. The final boss Odysseus will have to face off against once he's done with like, at least 50 of the suitors. But no, he's the first one to die just like that. Making you remember, considering all the things Odysseus has gone up against and is capable of Why would THIS be a challenge?

He didnt deserve a rematch. Ody didnt waste time and killed their leder first. And scaring them, giving him a head start and a TERRIFYING entrance into the scene from the suitors POV.

It's supposed to convey an animalistic hunger. He's a monster of another kind. A human with no self control and only lust in mind. There is no love in what he is saying. He is a starved dog imagining a piece of meat. He's panting heavily and wide eyed because he is working himself into a manic state thinking of how he'll force himself on the Queen, speaking of her like an animal to hunt and eat, not a person to be loved.
