I have heard a pastor of my own say He welcomed correction from the pulpit, but my experience with that pastor was completely different from what he said. He was not willing to hear gentle reproof. ..... In looking at Ted Wilson, he is saying to hold leaders to account, but in practice, when the agenda item came up in GC to be added, He was stern, His countenance was fallen. Especially in comparison to those humbly asking to be heard. (Will they not lift a finger to relieve the burdens of the people? Where is the compassion?)

Bilbical Description is never prescription. Christ was not a publickly recognized figure in the church and he was not yet rejected by the system by the way. He allowed also for personal conviction to take place as he blesses motive but in Matthew23:23 he went on to expose the injustices of tithes. By the way some sincere souls Luke8:3 supported Christs minstry directly and never rejected their liberal offerings for that corrupt system. Allow people to practice their discretion as to how to support Gods work
@21divel2 ай бұрын
@@sefatsakhauta2849 If anything in the Bible is perfectly safe to emulate, its Christ. The issue isn't whether a person, if convicted can support a ministry of their choice, it's whether or not to withhold tithe. You won't see Jesus telling anyone or even alluding to someone doing so for any reason. The practice of tithing can't be "unjust".... But the leaders running the church can be.

Redirecting and withholding are two differnt things altogether. By the way if we emulate Christ in all sorts of ways without any condition whatsoever. As much as I appreciate your videos brother Lawrence, I sure do hope you're also praying for our leaders and not just uploading for content's sake. The Spirit of Christ unites, not divides. Let's pray for that unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17. Since Dr. Vine's videos went viral, so many church members have expressed doubt in the current GC leadership which is interesting in light of the GC session next July. As you said, we are the body of Christ, that is, we are a family. We should all come to that point now where as a family, we address our internal issues within the 'home', no cameras. A husband doesn't does not go around telling everyone else the flaws and mistakes of the wife. That's done within the walls of their home. At a time when we - God's church- are supposed to put a united front, these recent "Dr. Vine videos" have done quite the opposite although much of what he said were some painful truths that should have been "internally addressed". But then again, has his revelation at the camp meeting united the church or caused divisions and raised even more questions? These are just personal observations. Let's pray for our leaders rather than talk about them. Blessings!
