Excellent video. I think I have the same leak in my LWN Diesel Colorado. Only 30k miles but I noticed I’ve had to add a bit of coolant twice in the last 8 months or so, so I got curious and I saw the tell-tale signs of that super slow leak off the back of the engine on top of the converter bell housing and then down the right side.

Great video. It's a difficult one to video! But I think I understand, will attempt this. I have a a similar vehicle although it was called a Chevrolet Trailblazer in South Africa. We have this exact issue, intermittent leaks and now I know where to look for the leak at least.

There's one in the front too. Whenever doing timing belt, you can get to it. Always best to seal that one too.

@@a1mechanicaloakey639 I will do both simultaneously, although I believe the leak presented more towards the rear.

One thing I would recommend is at 13:30 I would put a dab of grease on the Allen key to help keep it in the bolt head.

Is it normal for temperature gauge to fluctuate but doesn’t overheat on this vehicle?

I just did one of these but had to come in from up top had to remove the engine lifting bracket. The trans dipstick tube was in the way so I couldn't get in from the side.

Great video. What Loctite \ sealant do you need for the thread during assembly?

Thank you. Please don't forget to subscribe. Honestly any thread locker or automotive silicone should work.

I have similar problem but i’ve been told i need to change the whole oil cooler part! Is it true or does cleaning the screw only will stop the leak?
@a1mechanicaloakey6393 жыл бұрын
Oil cooler and the part on the video is totally different things and location. So you could have a different issue than that of my video.
