Been the same here mate with my Monaro assembly, just busy work earning doh get back to it soon , I’m also up to window regulators and electrical

Hi mate, me again. Before you can button up any of the windows you will need to fit the upper roof rail seal as that is what the windows all need to seal against/ be adjusted to. Loving the build as usual.

Champion effort having a crack at the window assemblies Hank, they are super fiddly and the worst things to get right hey!. You most probly already know about your question re quarter windsows? In my HG sedan there are small screws (from memory 2 or 3) in under the quarter windows, screw up through the bottom rubber, Id assume the Monaro would be very similar. Super keen to see the Auto sparky work too, im having a crack on the 12volt in my HG atm,. strap a go pro on old mate for us... 😁

Hey Paul thanks man! Yeah I managed to work out the screws and got that sorted. I’ve had to put the auto sparky off for now as my new shed is delayed so we can’t really access the car to work on it unhindered. So maybe July / August I’ll get him round and yep will definitely catch him working. Thanks again bro.

I reckon once you get that rivet in and a bit of sun on that rubber it will shape in fine. I was just at the Rosehill Car Show today out in western Sydney and was chatting with Nathan and his dad as they had a Glass 4 Classics stand there.

Nice build there man. Just wondering where you got the tail lights rechromed/repaired at? BTW I noticed you haven't got the chrome strip on the boot yet, originally they used a plastic clip in the end and you used a self tapper and a small concave sort of washer to hold it on, they don't seem to make them so they give you that steel clip with the thread on it (that's why it doesn't fit so great). Just double check the length of the screw when fitted that it doesn't hit anything on the inside, you might need to trim it. Same with the rear quarter window chrome strip, there is one clip about 2/3 along that it an odd size that holds the strip so it follows the curve of the quarter panel - they don't sell that size so you might have to modify a bigger one to suit. As someone else said you need to get the roof/door rubber in before you do up the front quarter vent window post because the chrome post seals up against the rubber - once you get that sitting against that nice the door glass will usually line up good. Once the post is in the right place then you can wind in/out the screw at the bottom of the window channel. Keep up the good work, hope to see it finished soon.

Thanks very much mate. That’s a big help. I’ve got the chrome strip for the boot but I put a scratch in the boot when trying to install it so that needs to be fixed. I got the tail lights repaired and rechromed at AA Vinneys in Dandenong Victoria. Really good to deal with tho it took some time as you’d expect. Cheers for the advice mate. 👍

@@htmonaroamateurbuild9267 No problem, hope it helps. Thanks for the name for the tail lights. They could probably brush touch that scratch so you won't need to strip it down. I'd ask your painter anyway before you strip the boot down. Keep up the good work.
