I've always been secretly happy when things are cancelled. I have my adult kids and my husband working from home so our house is crowded (and I do feel your pain with the construction noise. It wears me down). I am used to the house being much more quiet but I'm trying to enjoy having everyone around before they go back to work/university in the fall.

My 12 year old cat Winston is the best listener! At the end of the day, I talk to him about the day, what little I did (due to the lockdown), all the emotions I’m feeling,everything.....Sometimes I hold his paw as I’m talking. He is always there for me! I could not do without him during this painful time in our world! ❤️🐈

I was going to suggest Envy but let's face it, what is going on is more dangerous then some old 'deadly sin'. Even the Holderness family is not safe from the toxic conspiracy theorists who are destroying our country's collective sanity. We need an 8th deadly sin, but how do you encapsulate conspiracy nonthinking into a single word? Belligerent ignorance? Spiteful rumor mongering? Edited for spelling.

Hahaha I startled my Amazon guy last week. My food had come and I put off getting it from outside my door because I was doing a project I wanted to finish. So I finally got to my door and opened it the SAME TIME the Amazon guy put my box down, clutched his chest and let a surprisingly squeaky "Oh no!". I tried not to laugh and apologized profusely because it had been a week since I'd seen anyone and I felt so bad!

Kim, You can read a book (or at least listen too and audio book). I think that you would find it much more relaxing than watching something mindless in TV. In addition, you don't have to finish the book when you get tired of watching. It will be there, paused for you, right where you left it. Consider having the whole family take a "reading challenge" from the local library.
@maryroberts5894 жыл бұрын
I never thought I'd like anything but a traditional book in my hands, but I was so wrong. I adore audio books! I can walk around doing other chores with a movie taking place in my head. I also love e-books at night. They save the page for me and turn off when I fall asleep.
@harryrimmer68304 жыл бұрын
@@maryroberts589 You sound a lot like my wife. She is now addicted to her Kindle(s). She is forever reading books. Even when she reads all evening, she has to bring the Kindle to bed with her because she "can't fall asleep" until she "has read for a while". The audio books have been mostly for use when driving long distances (usually in the RV), but I am considering listening to one while I clean the garage, or some similar indoor task.

My father-in-law is a HUGE bargain shopper. In the middle of 2019 he told us the place he buys toilet paper from was having a half off sale and asked if we wanted a box of TP. Being newlyweds with little money we accepted his offer. The box had 94 rolls. Because it was just the two of us we didn't run low on toilet paper till 2021. And thats how I didn't buy toilet paper in 2020.
