Holding History | Dual Ammonite Fossil Display

These beautiful 100 Million Year Old Ammonites are frozen in time, combined by their matrix. With the help of some Power Carving Tools, and some simple finishing techniques, I was able to create a display base to show them off properly. Thank you for watching!

I love it! The textures are amazing! At first I thought the wood was resin! The simple finish was so glossy I thought it was dark and translucent. Really like shop spider a lot more then the snake!!

Little late to the vid but bang up job! Out of all the folks I watch on here I make sure to search yours out when you start talking about them on the podcast. This one is great. The application of yakisugi on the redwood is transformative! I wonder if the age of the wood lends to the softer layers breaking down even more than normal. It reminds me of cuddle fish bone or of course sand and water. Really amazing. Keep up the great work and please keep sharing it with us!
