Holding the Deeping Wall | BFME 1 Patch 2.22 Hard Helms Deep

One of the hardest early missions for some ppl on the new patch. Wanted to share my idea on how this can be done without losing the wall even with some major messups :D.
I am sure there are many other possibilities this is the one I am the most comfortable with.

Brilliant Those early horse sweeps and Gimili keeping those ladders away worked amazing I can’t believe I didn’t even think about using the Theoden charge with the arriving units. Good stuff

What screw me up is the invulnerable orc bug. They never fixed that bug on dam orc killing your entire army.

I found it easier to defend the gate and let them blow up the wall and stack everyone next to a statue. The Ai would just charge through the choke point and die. You just need to send Legolas up the wall to kill ladders since he 3 shots them.

I'm on patch 2.22 and my Eomer doesn't have that heroic charge ability. Anyone know whats up with that? Just checked and updated to latest version of the patch and Eomer still has no glorious charge. I think you might be playing an extra modded version, Ukki.

Well done. But this is not hard. Just played that and there a way more units. And the damage from enemy is times 2 at least.

It is. Please don't lie about that. If they vhanged waves on the newest version that i don't know. It was hard at the time of recording. Or you played a mod.

@@ukki7664 I have been paying the on the cracked version and I can say this battle looked really good and I tried to emulate your strategy. It works, but I think the other dude is right, towards the end I had THOUSANDS, and I’m not even kidding THOUSANDS of orcs that completely ripped through my archers and cavalry. I survived up to the point of reinforcements, and once they finally showed up, within 30 seconds my entire army was destroyed. I think it has to be a game issue

@@ukki7664 Its still easier than the Elven Alliance mod's iteration, same for Minas Tirith. That being said. 2.22 has a smoother difficulty slope across both campaigns. They go from slightly harder to much harder than vanilla missions as the campaigns progress as opposed to Elven Alliance which has a few very hard missions amongst many trivial missions.
