So how is what you did at 1:00 not a single haul? Kinda ugly but you did add load to the rod tip by hauling. No?

I am confused about the same thing. Similar movement for the haul. My guess is, here his movement is more like spread eagle while for the haul your arms are more in an 'L' shape.
