Churchdown Funfair Extravaganza & Model Show 2016

The Funfair Extravaganza takes place every January in Churchdown, UK. This year the show hosted over 60 models and fairground exhibits ranging from traditional Waltzers through to modern thrill rides such as the Superstar, all in miniature.
In this video we take a detailed look at many of the exhibits at the 2016 show, which took place on Saturday 16th January. The award for best in show went to John Molden for his Meccano replica of Hinzen's Haunted Mansion ghost train.

All of these models are really amazing. For example the SuperStar in the beginning, Euphoria, Spin City Waltzer, SeaStorm, Reynolds, I can go on and on, but are these scratch built or available for purchase somewhere? Many of these would be great on my model railroad layout.

+blakrootz Many of them are indeed scratch built. For model railways the best fair models for you might be the Faller kits, they are OO/HO scale and come with instructions for you to assemble yourself. There's a video of the Faller Power Tower on our channel. Good luck!

+John Doherty You can for certain models but a lot of them are custom made from scratch. It's worth googling for Faller Fairground models, they make some good - but very fiddly - kits.
