Dear Parichaya, thanks for showing and telling the details of Hole Anjaneya swamy temple of Maddur. It was built in 1450 to 1498 period. It is 550 years old Anjaneya temple. As you have told it is on the banks of River Shimsha only. But now the river has been dried and no river at all. Only you can find the dry Grass and unwanted things in that river. A normal person cannot enter the river place and it is not maintained correctly. It is Speciality temple till now we can do pooja using 25 paise. You told about the timings that in evening it is opened upto 7 pm its correct and it applies only for weekdays. , But on weekends ( Saturday and Sunday) it is opened till 8.30 PM in the night. You forgot to mention another important point, there are three more sannidhi in this temple only. The three important Sannidhi are Vyasaraja Brindavan, Sripada Raj Brindavan and Srinivas temple. These three temples are also important here. This temple is maintained by Madhava community. Temple pooja is also done in Madhwa style only. For your information Kannada film Named Sakhsatkara ( Black and white film of Karnataka Ratna Dr Rajkumar, Jamuna, Prithviraj Kapoor ( Hindi actor) , Nagendra Rao) shooting has been took place in this temple. In 3 to 4 scenes of that particular movie, you can find Shimsha river flowing heavily here at that time. But at present condition you can find only Remembrance that River Shimsha was flowing here. You have told information that Kokkore Bellur is near , but it very far for from here. The near sight seeing places of this temple is Vaidyanathapura and Ugra Narasimha temple of Maddur. In Vaidyanathapura, you can find Vaidyanatheshwara, Eshwara temple where Eshwara is considered as Doctor of all diseases as the name suggests. The priest here will give Huttada Mannu ( Soil of Snake hole ) as Prasad to all. It acts as medicines to several diseases. We can find Real Nandi in the temple. Another temple is Ugra Narasimha temple. It is one and only temple of India where you can find Narasimha in Ugra roopa is Killing Demon Hiranyakashyapa, and Prahalada standing beside Narasimha. This Narasimha has 8 hands and also known as Ashtabujakara Narasimha. Another important temple is also there beside the Ugra Narasimha temple. It is known as Kanchi Kanna Vardaja temple and its height is of 29 feet. Name to this God came as god gave eyes to Blind mother of Raja Vishnuvardhan. There is also belief in this place that person who cannot or afford to go to Kanchipuram can have Darshan of this Vardarajan and he gets Punya as he has visited to Kanchipuram only. Abhishekam to Lord Vardarajan is done on first sunday of every month. Both Ugra Narasimha and Kanna Vardarajan temples are Sri vaishnava temples and situated 0.5 kms from Maddur Busstand. In total Hole Anjaneya swamy temple, Vaidyanatheshwara temple and Ugra Narasimha temple are in 5 kms radius only. Three temples can be covered within half day ( 3 to 4 hours only). I have visited all the 3 temples last year and prayed for Hole Anjaneya swamy using 25 paise given by priest as told in this video.
